With the snow level this year that early hunt might be tough again! Is AZGFD still running cameras up there?
-
My old man bought me a butler bag about 30 years ago when they were still based in Kingman. Have spent hundreds of nights in it and its still going strong. Love it

Casey's is the way to go. He has never taken more than a week to call for pickup, usually 3-4 days even when busy like now. Plus I like his old school butcher paper wrapping, lasts forever in the freezer.

The AZGFD commission is gonna look a lot different in 4 years with the new woke wolf lovers in charge.
-
Guess I missed this. New section of the portal bonus point breakdown. $150 for residents, $300 for non residents to watch basically a youtube video and get a permanent point? wow. https://www.azgfd.com/hunting/eha/

Got charged for 44 turkey tags, all at once. $1100!

Are you in there during shed hunting season? Lots of ATV's in there during that time. Also the rancher has full run of the place to run ATV's, UTV's, and Trucks anywhere he wants in the Woolhouse. I've 'heard" you can pay a ranch hand $100 to retrieve an elk with his Polaris Ranger. Don't really need an ATV in 3B. Very very doubtful you will need chains either unless we get another once in 30 years winter, but you never know!

How much do you want to spend? Probably gonna want to find something on or near Porter Mtn Road.

I know you are looking for used, but we bought one like this made by Zeny from Amazon several years ago. I think it was about $125. Use it twice a year to make about 30-40 pounds of sausage each time. Pays for itself every time we use it. Absolutely love it. Cranks out summer sausage like no tomorrow. 2 speeds is nice too. eBay sausage stuffer

Its definitely one place where they love to hoist the colours on the way back to dock.

Definitely will want to go out of Kona. Literally have lines in the water the second you leave the harbor(No 8 hours boat rides each way like in San Diego). Anytime of the year is good for some species, guessing you will get some wahoo and ahi. Been on a handful of boats but they change captains and crews frequently, so don't have any advice there. Pick a 4 or 6 pack and go! Can shore fish off South Point. Good luck getting them up that cliff!

Amazon is definitely the way to go! $20 per tire includes install and disposal fee. Can't beat that.

10 years ago there wasn't a single kayak upstream from the Ferry. Now I think Lee's Ferry Angler's business is probably 90% running kayaks upstream all day long. Hundreds of them. Never can have a bad day there since it is so amazingly beautiful, but the fishing sucks!

Cashed in 11 points on a good antelope unit. Can't wait!

I think it means that if you are 3rd in line for a returned tag(not sure how you would even know this) and the 2 people in front of you did NOT purchase PointGuard Plus, you would jump over them in the event a tag was returned for that hunt. As an example.

Yes. Way too many big cat tree huggers in southern AZ. It's all but a guarantee, and they will use coues deer to feed them.

Proposed fall, spring hunt recommendations for 2022-2023 available for review

Of course that's going to happen. People have been pushing for a Utah style expo/tag sale for years, and they will again in the next year or two. Too much money to just walk away from the idea. They are almost there with the recent anti non-resident sentiment that has been building. Remember Utah took all their tags from the non-resident pool. The department is going to run into the problem of diminishing returns on these extra tags. Every year people are going to look at the odds and say no thanks. Then the revenue will decrease. Then they will increase the number of tags to compensate. It will eventually spiral down to the point where 5 tags last year will bring in more revenue than 50 tags 5 years from now. -

Just picking a random unit here. But if unit 8 coues has a quota of 5 deer for the entire archery season, chances are it won't even make it to January right? If there is still 1 left in the quota how do you make plans to hunt that unit in December/January? It would have been nice to place a quota for each season(5 in August, 5 in Dec., 5 in Jan.). The later you get into the prime rut the less likely the unit will even be open. -
How do you get a copy of your 4473? Carry it with you for the G&F warden?

Let me guess, the Flagstaff office?

Watching the commission meeting and it sounds like 10 might be very different this year. All those cow tags for the National Forest portion of 10?

Lance is 10 times the hunter and 20x the quality individual than Russ and Co will ever be. -

The salt is put out for the “co-op”(ie. its there for every hunter to use). Just ask Russ about joining the co-op, sign his waiver, and enjoy the awesome experience of being part of the incredible cooperative hunt for trophy bison! -
They've been unable to renew the access agreement.

To put this in perspective. Take that $78 to Vegas. Put it on your favorite roulette number and you have 2.8% chance to turn it into $2808. But wait, there's more! Take that $2808 and put it back on a roulette number and you have a .08% chance to win consecutively and turn it into $101,088. Then buy whatever elk, sheep, elephant hunt you want! Your odds of drawing a tag in this draw are about .03% assuming the apps are split evenly between all 6 choices.
