Honest to god guys! 1st choice was unit 10 rut tag, 2nd choice unit 1 rut, 3rd choice 3B rut! i drew a unit 1 tag last year and was expecting a bonus point this year...thus the ridiculous hunt choices. i got tag # 61. Unless i screwed up when filling out the App online....I'm telling you the truth!

3B archery bull tag for me this year! had the unit 1 bull tag last year! good luck to all

Last year i drew a unit 1 early bull tag....had a good hunt (killed a decent bull on day 1) after applying for that hunt for 12 years. This year i questioned why i was even putting an application in.... I was sure I had zero chance of getting another tag, so I put in for the early unit 10 archery bull tag, then unit 1 early archery ,and lastly unit 3b early archery....chuckling to my self "what a waste of time"....So I then notice a $114 charge from the AZGFD last week!!! It is KILLING me to know which tag it is. Note to self, buy some lottery tickets! W ish they would get a move on things down there...

Scheduling is always a conflict for me with these types of things, especially on weekends, so i read the entire online form originally posted. it said top ten would be notified no later than February 20th, but that never happened, then they changed the fact that you would be notified at all, and it isn't on the website anymore.

Could it be?...2 years in a row unit 1 bull?! Just got hit for 114$....seems fishy....lots of hits....maybe they charge all the cards and refund if not drawn?!

what a pain in the @##.....some of us have to work and cant just waltz on up to RV! wouldnt have entered if they werent telling the results... maybe i can have my brother in law impersonate me

Anyone heard anything on this yet? I can almost guarantee Becker's Lady won the contest....saw a lot of bulls come in but nothing even close to hers!I hardly saw anything over 320 at the processor.

Great story! I had the Unit 1 tag and killed opening morning and also had the experience of hunting the rest of the hunt with a friend, the rut was very slow and there were many people afield. congrats!

Unit 1 wasnt all that great either...i hunted with a buddy of mine up there for 6 days after killing my bull opening morning and it was hit and miss....tons of other hunters around and too much calling going on.

AZXL, Yeah i saw him Thursday evening as well and figured i'd pass on him. Not 20 min. later we saw the nontypical i was talking about. I Have a buddy with the same tag and that area has been minimal in activity the past few days...all small bulls showing themselves in there, nothing big. Good luck up there...it should fire up in the next few days! Nice NM bull, that thing has good mass through his whole rack. Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Thanks Heat, i thought he was a different nontypical bull who had the same top ends but went at least 50 pts bigger! this guy snuck in and took his spot i guess...all i coould see was his left top points and let the muzzy fly, pumped to have him regardless im a sucker for dark horns!

I tagged out yesterday morning in unit 1 in the Baldy wilderness area...acutallu saw a coueswhitetail.com sticker ...? I was in the white ford Dually. 35 yd shot thru the trees....more of a spot and stalk hunt , did no calling whatsoever, TONS of hunters up there, way too many tags this year. Guessed the bull to be 340+ but I think I was a few points high, only caught his good left top and kill zone thru the tress and thought he was a much larger bull with dropping and split eyeguards I had been seeing...after getting him on the ground I say he's about 320...can't complain but not what I was going for. Will post pics when I get to the computer.

Congrats...i've bveen up here for the past 2 wks scouting for the archery bull hunt and saw the guy in the Blue FJ tons...funny he interrogated you like that, sounds like someone was bitter on their unfilled tag! Been staying here at my in-laws in Eagar the past few wks....great place to be this time of year!

Saw three 300-320 bulls partially rubbed off in unit 1 this morning, one bull was with about 60 cows and bugling/sniffing at cows already...pretty early to see that happening.

I do use diaphrams and always have, just thinking of switching so im not running around with the call in my mouth....nearly inhaled one last year running up a steep hill!

I live about two miles from I-8 and have been driving all the way to the superstition wilderness area to hunt. Decided to take a quick trip out south of the house about 6 miles. Put a decent stalk on the largest muley i have ever seen in person. Gotta love wind shifts! watched him bound off from 80 yds!
