What are you asking for them? You up for trades?
-
Awesome pics, I would love to see more if you have time.

It is open, check out the website. http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/coronado/

I wouldnt worry too much about it being completly closed. There is still plenty of area to get into for unit 36b (I put in for that hunt too). I think alot of the area that burned is scrub brush so there is not that much harm of falling debris. I can see the impact of flooding and erosion and a possible partial closure for the burn areas. Still I am optomistic about being able to hunt that unit.

Wow, those are some good sights to see. They look like they are doing good and getting big.

I thought you still could get to the cabin (private property) if you had some. The news realese stated this if I read it right. Here is the closure for Coronado. http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/coronado/documents/20110608ClosureOders290and287SignedWithMaps.pdf -
Hunting Southern Units Safe?
AzHuntingAddict replied to azffhunter's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I put in for 36b this year and have a few friends who go every year. They camp in large groups and hunt in three's. Keep me posted and I can set you up with these guys if you draw in this unit. -
Awesome pics. Glad to see they are hanging in there.

Tony, I love reading your stories and your adventures with your dogs. Thank you for bringing some good news and enjoyment to a rough day.

There are reports of elk dead everywhere from fire crews out on the line. Rumor or not, this is horrible news.

Sounds like good news in regards to big lake then. Glad to see someone is spilling the beans about what is going on. Seemed latley info was being held back.

Escudilla and Terry Flats????!!

I wish I could find the family pics from our camping and fishing trips over the years. Some of the best fishing was on big lake for me, even with the rental row boats without motors! We loved driving just down the road by the vast stretches of grass lands and watching the herd of elk and antelope.

Your place looks very familiar to me for some reason. Is your place off of forest service road 56 on the way to lake hulsey?
-
Is it too late to get stuff out of the area? My uncle has his cabin just south of Nutri near lake hulsy.

Send the tree huggers out to fight the fire! Let them see what their mental-ity does to the forrest. I couldnt agree with you more coues7

Does your group want to travel very far? Pinal peak, or the pioneer pass camp area just outside of globe has been our father and sons camp area. It has thick pines, and nice weather. No water but hey, its az! You can also look at the mount lemmon camp areas, like pepper sauce camp ground, and that had a creek if I remember right.

Us too. Good show and the boys love it too.

In my opinion, I would say hold off for a broadside shot as you only have one shot with a muzzie. 50. cal should have enough power to blow thru a shoulder, but I think the key here is the powder being used along with your bullet choice. You need to see what bullets work with different powders as each will react differently in your rifle vs someone elses. Conical bullets or sabot rounds will retain energy better and expand more than round at longer ranges, but round is great for shorter ranges.
