I am going to buy a new cot or two in the near future... I’d like some suggestions from the forum, I don’t want to spend a bunch of time reading reviews. Only other cot i’ve ever had was the Davis Tent Big Boy. That is a heavy beast and probably over built for my needs.

I ended up buying OZ’s disc cots. They are nice! Thx Oz 👍

That thing is stinkin cool. The kind of thing we messed around with as teenagers before the SxS and fancy stuff.
-
Are those the bunk bed type?
-
Price?

FYI, if anyone is interested in these tents, I’ve had one on back order from Competitive Edge Products. I think I paid $574 free shipping with coupon code: CEPCOMEBACK Should arrive in November 10x14 Deluxe FlexBow

Wow, someone needs to get laid! Who wants to take one for the good of the site?

Good prices in this climate! Bump for you

LA Police Gear has Merrell Agility Peak Tactical OD green shoes for 50% off. They are $59.99 free shipping. $120 everywhere else. Good deal. https://lapolicegear.com/merrell-j099581-dark-olive-agility-peak-shoe.html?avad=211021_d1d01174d

For what it’s worth, I have a few pair of Merrell’s and their sizing is very consistent with other shoe makers.

You should try it again. It’s pretty good stuff.

Another one to look at is Packit Gourmet. I try to keep the MH stored for emergencies and buy Packit Gourmet for backpacking trips. Excellent quality.
-
Yeah prices have gone up. I bought my MH buckets on Amazon when they were $52 for a pail of 12 pouches. Each pouch was 2 servings. Now I see that same product is over double the price I paid in 2013. I bought 12 buckets, which was a lot of money at the time but now looks like a deal. Mine is mostly stored for food shortage survival but i do grab them occasionally for backcountry trips. The chili mac is the bees knees.

Difficult to tell from the photos... threaded barrel?

They change packaging a lot. I still have all these from the old, old label!!

Try it sometime and you’ll get a “pepper high” which is a real thing. Endorphin rush after the burn is gone. But you need to build tolerance... don’t jump right into downing a reaper!! That would equal panic mode.

If you haven’t done so yet, buy some oyster shell at Tractor Supply and give that to your chickens. The calcium helps eggs production. It helped with our hens.

Make some and post the results!

I can fit a doz eggs in a quart jar... - Bring pot of water to boil and drop eggs into boiling water and boil for 12 minutes. After 12 min put eggs in ice water bath for a minute. Peel immediately (easier to peel) and rinse off eggs. - In the empty quart mason jar (wide mouth works best) put 2 tbsp salt, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 1 tbsp minced onion, 1 tbsp red pepper flakes, 1 tbsp peppercorns, juice from 1/2 lime and fill the jar about 1/3 full with white 5% vinegar. If you like it hotter (like I do), add dried ghost or reaper flakes and/or fresh hot peppers. - Add all the hardboiled, peeled eggs into jar. Once jar is full of eggs, fill the jar to the top with 5% white vinegar. Wipe top of jar clean, and put lid/screw top on and rinse jar off. Keep it on the counter at room temp for a few days before eating. Will keep at room temp for a week or two. The jar will be empty before they go bad! (they don’t really ever go bad. Bars keep pickled eggs on shelves for loooong time). If you put in fridge they will probably last longer, but they get firm, so I keep mine in pantry when I make them. - Eat a pickled egg with a cold beer! Best part is that it is a healthy, high protein snack.

Also, if you make an order from puckerbutt, get a bottle of their “Bacon me Crazy” or “Gator” hot sauce. Really excellent stuff if you’re a chili head.
-
I buy dried ghosts and reapers from ghostpepperstore.com and puckerbutt outside of harvest season and fresh ones in Aug/sept when they are available. I just got these last week.... I’ve found it’s just easier to have other people grow them and buy em. I love peppers! Add a few to my pickled eggs.... whoooo buddy!
