dang good deal. Japanese glass, open bridge with locking diopter for $300. I’m set on binos but someone needs to grab these.

whack-a-mole.

Don’t buy warranties. Buy the factory or Clymer service manual and if a part breaks, fix it. If you can’t fix it, bring it to a small, private repairman. Stay away from the dealership. There is a reason they push those plans… big $$$$$ for them. Most repairs are just parts swapping. Remove bad part and replace with new part.

None of this is my business, but after reading this trphy has a right to be mad as heck. And it’s not right for the accusations to be left without either proof that it happened or an apology clearing his name. IMO - Disappearing and deleting your post isn’t a solution. Explain your accusation or come back and clear his name.

My points on the portal are all correct as of yesterday

The lift/level doesn’t help. What brand did you replace with? In my experience, cheap bearings from Rock Auto or 1A Auto wont last long. Go with Timken. Also, make sure you torque the axel nut to factory specs. That can cause early failure.

Check out Zoleo instead of Garmin in reach. 1/2 the price of garmin on guidefitter and you can suspend service for $4 a month while keeping the dedicated phone number. Advantages of Zoleo over the Garmin are, better battery life, $4/mo when not activated, Zoleo detects if you have cell service or on wifi so you won’t use one of your messages if you have service, uses the same satellite network and it is Cheaper.

I have an older steel 3 leg glassing stool that I need to move on from due to weight. I saw on outdoorsman’s the Hillsound BTR stool. Does anyone use it? Opinions? At 12oz seems like a no brainer

No doubt premiums are high right now since supply is low and everyone is trying to buy some. Premiums aren’t usually this high.

I can get 5 nights in my Exo K3 4800 but you could go up to the 6400 for not much more weight and $$$. Definitely invest in good, ultralight gear such as shelter, quilt and pad. That gear isn’t cheap but just bite the bullet and use it for the next decade. My Exo pack is my favorite piece of gear I own. Love it.

Depends on what you already have…. Food, water storage? Commodities…. tangible items. Precious metals. Cash is trash. I happen to love metals because gold and silver have been used as money since before Jesus walked the earth. They will always be money. I don’t buy gold/silver for investment. It’s money or wealth insurance. A hedge against inflation. To me, the dollar value of gold/silver is meaningless. The only thing I care about is how high my stack is whether it’s worth $3 an ounce or $10,000. I shouldn’t say the dollar to metals radio is meaningless. It actually means a lot. It’s a barometer of the condition of the economy and country. When times are bad, metals tend to go up. and vice versa.
