10 Bucks Isn't Bad... Thanks

I purchased my (all black) XD40 in August of 2008, and it's the best handgun I have ever owned. I take superior care of it but now I noticed that it is getting a little scratched up on the muzzle and the black is a little rubbed off after hundred or draws from the holster and thousands or rounds through it. I love this gun so much that it hurts me to see cosmetic scratched on it. I know it still shoot excellent and will never jam but it still hurts even though it show age and personality . Does anyone feel the same pain that I do when your favorite firearm gets scratched?

I'm not a big fan of Glocks. I bought a Glock 26 the day I turned 21, and a year later I sold than piece of junk for 200 bucks to a MCSO Sheriff buddy of mine. NO REGRETS, worse 500 bucks I spent, but best 200 bucks I ever got... I bought the XD with that money and OMG was it the best gun I ever had.

Mine is a little worse than your. Yes there are excellent firearms, what caliber is yours if I may ask? I heard that caswells in Mesa, does restoration on paint an d even do camo which is stupid, i think. I want the black paint restoration just on the top slide and maybe "Black T Coating" when I get more info on it and see if its right.
-
What exactly is black T coating, and can it restore the black finish on the gun even after its scrarched and where can I buy it? I just found a scorpion in my sandals outside. I'm so mad, I almost got stung. I never seen a scorpion around my house and neither have neighbors.

Holster Suggestions for Springfield XDm, 9mm
MangeyJoe replied to Jimmer Negamanee's topic in Handgun Hunting for Coues Deer
I went to Caswell's in Mesa today and picked up a 4" XD 40 Caliber holster and they have all the holster for every gun you can think of. I also found out that they custom mold holster for any gun. Kydex holsters cover the barrel too. Good Luck -
I'm so sorry to hear that my prayers go out to the victoms, families, and friends affected.. God Bless them and you for stretching your heart and informing us.

Congrats on catching what I would say is a small but best tasting fish in the Atlantic Ocean. Do they call porgy, scup in Long Island? I really enjoy hearing that someone caught a porgy as there first fish as I did... Blood worm and sand worms are the same but I remember getting a bad infection and a black and blue bruise on my index finger for one of them S.O.B's, and I freaken hurt BAD. Those teeth are brutal on them worms.

I still remember my first fish. I was in Rhode Island where I originally lived before I moved to beautiful Arizona . When I was 7, ,my uncle and dad who still live in RI went to Narragensett Bay, Quanset Point Navel Base and they brought me along. My dad was catching Black Sea Bass and Scup (AKA Porgy) and I was just watching until my dad asked me if I wanted to try, I JUMPED and said yes. He casted it out for me with a weight and blood worms as bait, and after about 30 seconds, I started thinking that I wasn't going to catch anything, until I felt a vibrating tention on the line and I set the hook and landed a Scup. I didn't give my dad the pole back during that outing instead it was about me. I walked away with so much knowledge on how to cast, catch a fish, and land a fish, but not take the fish off the hook. I asked my dad everyday after that to take me again with the exception of winter. GREAT POST TONY, IT BROUGHT BACK ALOT MEMORIES. THANK YOU Whenever I see a kid watching me fish, I always let them fish... I enjoy passing on the love for the outdoors to the youth, just like my father did.

Abovethecoues hit the nail on the head... Education is important especially with a firearm, this state is in need of money and CCW classes definately feed the Gov't. But now the dumb felon and teens who can't possess pistol will get caught and feed more money to the gov't in fines, more than CCW $70 classes will ever come close. Criminals have to be one of the top sources to AZ's money supply (LOOK AT HE PEOPLE CONVICTED FOR DUI's, EVERY YEAR THE FINES AND PENALTIES GET TOUGHER). So in other words, I know this law is going to also pump money to our rut of an economy, carrying concealed with an illegal possessor only means more penalties and conviction time AKA MORE MONEY TO ARIZONA. YAY

Can you carry a pistol on your waist w/o it being concealed on a nature walk or hike at a state park, like hiking the Superstition Mountain? Because, I never go hiking in the wilderness without my firearm by my side... I have never used it and don't plan on it but it's so that in the event that s**t hits the fan I can protect my family and I.
