Have to give it up for the Cats , they are playing well right now . The fellas took the series with the Devils, which kind of stings for me but hey, I wish the Lady Cats a good run !

Hey I want to congratulate all who were fortunate to draw this tag and to all who will be going out to help these young kids . Make this a memorable outing for the kids and hopefully a seed will be planted and the wheel will keep rolling . We need to keep the youth engaged in hunting -and to keep exploring all outdoor activities . Be safe and enjoy the good times with the future of the hunting culture . If the young ones have a good memory of this adventure the wheel keeps rolling . Best Of Luck To All .

What kind of problem are you having?

Have been in that position , when time came around to start going to scout and what not my son's came around also. Wanted to go hunt and went with me and other kids that were drawn . Good times for all . Then came the high school sports--no time to hunt , including the friends that had been going also . Now that the sports are done they all want to hunt again . Interests change with time . Give your son a little time and hopefully he will come around when hunt time comes .

IMHO-- First off congratulations on drawing a tag ! Now it all comes down to what your priorities are--Do you go and spend time learning an area if you have not been there or do you hope that someone will give you info that they have spent time on--leg work , glassing , doing what you should be doing , you know putting time in , etc. Seems to me from what your post states--you have other priorities -- hire a guide and show up and hunt . Maybe that is an answer to your ?

Big Congrats to the young lady and proud father. Memories to last a lifetime. Again congrats.

If you are in the Valley try Dealer Tire Supply I think on 35th Ave and Lincoln. Purchased mine there good guys good deals.

IMHO it would be the place that does not charge city sales tax and dealer documentation fees. All Bull###t , you should be able to go and purchase a product and not have to pay for things you did not purchase. When you go to the store and purchase groceries do you pay for someone to give you your receipt other than the cashier you dealt with ? Do you have to pay any kind of fees to get parts at your parts store ? Usually you pay for the product and percentage of tax is added. Done deal. Where do all the other fees come into play. Just comeback from taking my lovely wife out to dinner, paid the young lady for food and services rendered and tipped her accordingly . Do not recall having to pitch in for the building , parking lot and what have you as a dealer would tack on. Rant is done. Good luck finding what you are looking for, the deal is out there just do your homework and you will find it.

Want to wish everyone that can take kids out best of luck on draw for elk and what not. My goal this year is to harvest an elk if my grand kids are fortunate enough to draw the coveted tag . Going to do bonus point myself. Many of you out there have been there done that. Now it is time to pass that thrill, joy , call it what you want to the future of our heritage. To hunt and enjoy the outdoors. Make a kids day , take them hunting.

This cool cat is just coming down where the groceries are at . I would call him smart cat. No pun intended.

Well let me be the first to welcome ChrisM to the CWT site. Thank you for your generous gift to the very deserving veteran.

You might try Safe City in Mesa south of the 60 on Mesa Drive. Saw their product at an Outdoor Function . Went to store. The fella that sold me one was very helpful and the service was excellent. Buy once and no worries. If you invest in top of the line equipment --- a safe should be no different IMHO.

I would not think he is stealing if he is putting his name and location out in the public forum. Just as you have seen his post hopefully the owners of said camping equipment will also see it. Ever stop and think that whomever owned said equipment might not have access to a the net?

it is not nice up there right now. good luck if you venture out there--

Congratulations--nice buck..

How much effort would you put forth to help someone like this?
chico replied to GTIMANiac's topic in The Campfire
If you are able to help get the them out of a jam by all means give him-her a hand. You are out in the boonies. Myself I would not drive by anyone in that kind of situation and not ask if they are in need of some help. It is the right thing to do. If you are told they have it under control so be it--move along.
