I was blessed to celebrate a life today with family and friends honoring a lady that called this place home for a 103 years. She believed in a higher power, to embrace family and friends, learn to forgive , help one another , and to lead by example so this world will be a better place for our children and the children to come . I was truly blessed to learn about life from this lady.

Did not know that a shortage of passes was occurring. Have you tried Tonto Forest Service office in Payson? Will be on south side as your coming in to town I think a little ways passed Tyler Pkwy. Good Luck .

Don't know where you are driving in from, passes sold at Quick Trip on Ellsworth/University also at the Chevron Ellsworth/Brown Rd.

Nothing surprises me anymore on that. The fools think that the garbage truck is going to roll by Monday morning and pick up the mess they leave behind , that fires will not spread with the slightest breeze . Big thanks to you for stopping and preventing another possible fire from taking off. Not to mention picking up their garbage. All we can do is be good stewards of our public lands.

All them knuckleheads probably went and talked strategy for next year over their beef burgers and fries. With no clue where the meat came from- Go figure. Nothing like fresh backstrap and tenderloins !

Present CWP card at time of purchase if you have one and should be no problem in my experience. You most likely will be asked how do you want to pay.

The NO vote on prop 123 should be on every ballot that is cast whether early or day of. Prop 301 was voted in--for those of you in the know-- guess what happened to that money it went elsewhere. What do you think will happen this time around? History tends to repeat itself at times.

I tend to purchase what is on sale and comfortable , when it's worn go shop again . As long as it keeps me dry , warm or cool as needed , real simple . The animal you are seeking doesn't care what you wear - use the wind to your advantage.
-
Does anyone remember Prop-301? Back in 2000 Arizona voters passed a sales tax to fund education . The tax base was in place , Where did those funds go? Prop 123 is just another finger in the dam until another leak occurs.

How about everyone take a deep breath- relax and hurry up and wait like I do , since I did the old envelope and money order thing . Best of luck to all on this years elk draw.

Kinda like fishing huh, can't catch them all of the time.

Congratulations to the shed hunter-and whomever was with him . Big healthy looking cat--whatever he was ingesting was plentiful by the looks of him.

Good luck finding one, tailgates are a hot item right now. Can't keep them on fleet trucks, being taken from company parking lot and out in the field. . The company I work for picks them up used from auto recycling yards.

Whoa my money order was cashed !
-
Best of luck to all, envelope dropped this morning--money order never fails--no worries.

All good responses, IMHO I prefer to move where i am going as soon as I can see in front of me. I have moved in full darkness and with first light. I have to wonder how many animals I have walked by for the fact that I could not see being that it was dark. Moving slow and with first light getting to where i want to be I have picked up animals that I probably would have walked by had it been dark. Either way do what best suits you, good luck and good hunting.

In my humble opinion--public land is public land. Any individual-man woman whomever it may be that has a valid hunting license here in the state of Arizona has the right to traverse whatever public land that they please. If a hunt is going on so what - it is public land . Having that document in hand gives them - you and me the right to move freely where you wish as long as you are on public land and permission is granted per signage that is posted with said document in hand. If you don't understand then you must not get out enough. As for this cat getting his hand caught in the cookie jar so to speak, I really don't know what to say. Money talks bullshit walks. I myself have seen roads try to be blocked , whether sitting on them , setting out cones , trying to stop vehicles whatever . It does not matter - the almighty dollar has surpassed common sense. That is why you will not hear any comments from outfitters good or bad--it's all about the money . What can be made or lost since everyone has the right to be on public land . IMHO--thank you for your time. -
Congratulations on a nice buck with an arrow-awesome. Thank you for your service sir.
