Well over 170 and a first day shooter.

Went with my nephew last year. Saw about 200 does and one 2 point. We hunted all over and the bucks were hard to find.

You can not shot sabots in Colorado.

How did everyone do on the hunt? I know of a few bulls that were killed the biggest a little over 300.
-
Try the NE side of sitgraves. Take the j road south of the cinder pit and hike to the edge of the burn.
-
As of the October cow hunt the elk were spread out. The numbers are up. There are multiple bulls over 350 in the unit.

Hunting on a Clean vs Fouled Bore (continued)

Watch "Sniper 101 part 40 " on YouTube. It is the best explanation I have found on this topic. My take on it is there is an accuracy node with copper fouling just like reloading. My personal rifle 300wsm likes 10-100 rounds. -
I was extremely lucky and drew the first archery hunt running August 14-27 . I will be going unguided as well. Next week I will start my scouting and will putting up trail cameras, and GPS marking trails and other sign. Any info people are willing to share would be appreciated. I am willing to work together with anyone else who drew a tag.

Looks like I will be heading across the street to hunt this year. Ill post pics and video of my scouting and hunt as I get them.

I had the hunt in 2006 also. Did not kill one but had a good time. Looking forward to having more room to hunt. I had to get my computer fixed so now I can start downloading some video.

Nice buck! Now I know why i could not find him. Im hoping the 4x5 made it another year, never saw him dead. As long as he was the one with short G2s and 5 on the right.

Need Help Deciding Which HD Camcorder to Buy!

Kenny, What approximate distance are those photos taken at? They look really good and I would love to be able to shoot animals that clearly. I'm just concerned about how close I have to get to make the video worth watching were I to buy that same camera. I got the camera from Best Buy. You can find some good deals on them now that they are last years model. I think the videos were all taken under 250yds. -

DubTee, If you are interested in the Strip why not put it first choice then 33 second. You might just draw that strip tag, or you could end up in the 20% for 33 and draw that with your second choice.

I have the HDR-XR150. It does mount to a tripod. So far it has worked out well. I just got a new editing program i wanted to do alittle more than the one it came with could do. -

Off G&F web site for 19B antelpoe. "This unit's pronghorn population shows the influences of prolonged dry conditions. The severe droughts of 1996, 2002 and 2007 resulted in virtually no fawn survival, thus no adults in those age classes. Although total numbers have been reduced, a healthy buck surplus exists for an enjoyable hunt. General hunt success is typically between 85-90 percent." What are they going to do if we have more than one year of droughts in a row? Kill every buck?
