Had a great weekend in 27 , heard birds everywhere , most of them already being hened up. For the most part an awesome weekend with me and a buddy tagging out. Gobbles being heard even after 10 a.m.

It states it very clearly on the azgf website if you want to bait on f s. Land you have to contact the f.s. and check on their regulations. From what I got its not up to azgf to write forest service rules but its part of their job to enforce their rules, just as they do when problems relating to wildlife exist on private. I wish game in fish would write it clearly if they are willing to enforce it . It's just not so clear as to what the baiting limitations are in azgf rules. They just make it clear that its up to us to contact f.s. or other land managers to check on these rules. Game and fish are just starting to crack down on this due to numerous complaints that the forest service always has against us violating their rules. It realy is up to us as sportsmen to honor and respect these rules. Its up to us to preserve our hunting rights by being ethical and following all the rules and not just some. By abiding by these rules we can reassure our hunting spots on f.s. lands and such by keeping their rules. We as hunters should honor what's right if that's what we stand for even when we dissagree sometimes.

Yup know couple people who got busted for baiting on forest service land. As long as you know your laws you should bait away... If you don't , its just plain ignorance. I could care less either way but game and fish have been known to get Leeds off this site for so called "deer baiters" just giving a heads up to a law I just barely found to be true a few years ago.

Remember baiting is technically illegal in most lands in az....

That proves its partially about wildlife and all about money. Too many wine bags crying about how their clients need more opportunities so they can make more money. Leaving so little opportunities for the D.I.Y hunter whoms tag cost their game dept. The same , sounds shady too me

Yea what's up with cutting out all their cow elk permits to non residents? We should cut out all our bull tags for non residents since they think its ok to cut us off. They claim its so more residents get a chance to hunt elk.... Wow wouldn't that be nice if the azgfd did that here... New Mexicans wouldn't like that too much
