Can't beat the facts straight from the horses mouth.

You are right. I don't know why they bother paying WM's. What we ought to do is just have you and your buddies get together at the Red Onion eat some monster burgers and just tell the rest of us ignorant city slickers how many tags there should be. Then everything would be fixed, 400" bulls would abound, everyone could draw a tag, your arteries would be clogged, the elk would be saved from extinction, and there would be peace in the middle east. Problem solved. Packer - You better start looking for a new gig. Your on to something.....Except for the middle east, I would turn it to glass. Other than that, yeah. We finally agree.

I'm quite positive game and fish workers don't get paid squat... That's a fact, they are under paid, they're salary hasn't increased that dramatic in long long time. They must be pretty rich if they pocket all of money, its just that simple... They don't. The fact is that managing wildlife ain't cheap. It takes a lot of time and conservation. If unit 4 hasn't produced that much choose another unit. Some units are better than others. I have tons of ties in the white mountain area who feel the same way as I do. Would rather hunt elk more frequent than wait 12 plus years for tag. To say your fed up with the game and fish is your own deal, like I said they will never be able to please everyone. We all still get to choose what unit s we want to apply for, no ones twisting your arm. I'm not a biologist or a wildlife manager ill let them do there job. It's like someone telling a mechanic how to do his job just because it was expensive part, not knowing a thing about his field. There's always room for improvement with game and fish and they really do work on it for little pay. Your either part of the problem or the solution. I sure can think of several things they changed to cater to us hunters one being earlier with results for more time to plan in advance. I respect those who put their lifes on the line to protect wildlife to ensure conservation for future generations to come.

Is it just me or did anyone else see more big bulls killed this year than in recent memory? More hunters in the field isn't always fun, but I don't know one hunter that I know complained they drew a tag ever. Game and fish will never get credit for pleasing everyone, its impossible. I would absolutely think that they would know a whole lot more about managing wildlife than we do. Don't forget that all our dollars go back to managing wildlife with that tag increases. Putting more hunters in the field is a good thing. Not everyone is looking for a trophy bull, I would say about half just want a decent opportunity. There are plenty of elk out there and obviously still some giants being taken and will continue to be taken if there's another good rain. I would say the game and fish absolutely want you to be successful! Saying that the don't want you to be is a hoax. They provide all the info, tag numbers, and managed wildlife. Just my 2 cents

Two Javelina Bag Limit (under some circumstances)!
bowhunter81 replied to 1uglydude's topic in Javelina
Yea I totally agree with the deer statements above granted they won't cater to everyone... The game and fish really isn't managing for trophy class animals eventhough I produces plenty. I think they willingly give the hunters the right to shoot what ever sized deer the see fit. Giving us the opportunity to shoot what we would be happy with. I have no problems with the way its set up. A great hunter will always find the buck he or she is looking for. I think its great that the juniors get a chance to harvest great bucks early. I guess for the majority of hunters just getting out there is a great thing reguardless of size. -
I had the same problem as you with the eye deal. Try the minox 15's , best glass for the price... I think you can buy a brand new pair with life time warranty for 800 bucks

I think the mule deer suffer just as much in this unit... Used to be outstanding in certian areas until more outfitters and bunches of people relentlessly over hunted this perticular area. I used to love that unit before it went to crap. Heck I used to see 5 different heards of javelina in this one particular area, but the exact same thing happened in the exact same area as the Deer, too many people keyed in on certian heards deminshing the population and reducing quality opportunities. Setting up pig camps for 3 months straight never giving the wildlife a chance year after year is poor management in my eyes. I now hunt a different area every year and am enjoying it. Wish they would cool down tag numbers, its not always about money

i have a 1994 4x4 toyota extended cab standard 5 speed 6 cylinder, truck is in great shape, less than 100,000 miles on a rebuilt motor and tranny. BF Goddwich all terrain tires. It has a moon roof vent, kenwood cd player with aux. output, toyota bed liner, newer muffler and tailpipe, runs and sounds great (not noisy) , newer clutch and master cylinder, brand new power steering pump. mechanically sound for its age, original miles at 270,000. This truck is a daily driver and a very reliable hunting vehicle. 4x4 works phenomenal, will crawl up anything. i thought i would give it a chance here first before posting it on craigslist. the only thing this truck don't have is a.c., it has heat and it blows. its been a great work and hunting vehicle for me and i would be sad to let her go. the problem is that i have a bass boat that i won't want to pull with this truck. I am willing to trade strait across for something that has a bigger engine to pull my boat for equal value. If any of you think you could benefit from this post please p.m me Im open to all bigger vehicle offers of equal value. looking to sell for 3500 firm. additional pics upon request. serious inquiries only please. thanks for looking and happy hunting.

Hey guys sorry to hear about the confusions and speculations...but if anybody is seriously interested in this truck i think i have priced it for a lot less than a lot of others with way more engine miles than this. Like i said would take the right trade if one came up unless 3500 cash. -
