Sent mine in the blue envelope. Well there always is archery season, for now.

How did you do on your hunt? I am making plans(dreaming) for next year.

Everybody knows you cant kill a decent deer on a leftover. All of the good bucks go inter-dimensional-ly to a place where they can not be seen unless its a December hunt or you have 5k worth of optics on you. Besides if you apply for a leftover and you live in the phoenix metro area or north of I10 in tucson, the likely hood of getting your throat sliced by an illegal is much higher. for your own safety if you live in these areas do not get a left over unless its 20b.

That could be the easiest archery antelope hunt of all time. took this pic this morningDSCN1651.JPG No such thing as an easy archery antelope hunt! This would be the exception to that rule. If he bedded for the night where he normally does and if none of the other four hunters spooked him(two very big ifs). It would simply be walking from your truck about 40 yards, ranging and shooting.

Anymore pics of the one in your profileWhen I get home, I will find an the sd card and take a picture of him on the wall It would be cool to see some more pics. I am to lazy to go through my sd cards to find the field pics. Here are a couple from the wall.

Scouting for me is over. I found three bucks I will shoot onsight if I get a chance all living in about a square mile area. Trophyhntr's favorite buck has been eliminated because you could actually road hunt him. which buck would you go after and why? Flare Heart Jacques

I've seen lots of elk in 3b this year

pattern is pretty simple. if there is no snow they are in the pines. if it snows they will migrate lower into the fields.

A shot I cannot duplicate again. I shoot a running poult turkey at 65 yards in the neck severing his head off. I did this with a PSE Thunderbolt express and a walmart arrow. I even hit exactly where I was aiming. best two pound turkey ever.

"Best" being a nondescript word. Here is my best as a hunter. Also my smallest buck ever.

You are either the most patient hunter I have every heard about or the unluckiest person I have ever heard of.

The bull in my avatar is from the 3c late archery hunt and I have the unit 1 late archery hunt this year. I like my chances at a very large bull. What do you want to know?

Essentially, two shooters use the same water. Even tough it's against every fiber of my soul as a hunter, I am considering sitting that water hole until one of them comes in. Unless of course I find Jacques again, then all bets are off. Another buck that's a little too small

It has been my experience (4 archery tags + this one) that the rut really doesn't kick in until the first week of September. I am hoping with the 8/11 start that they are still solo. I am trying to fine tune everything, from pushing them to see their escape routes to learning the nuances of the fields they live in. To finding every conceivable indention that may hold water. I am stuck in hades, AKA Scottsdale, for work until the eve of my hunt. I have limited vacation and two tags (elk and antelope), I am hoping to only need one vacation day for me antelope hunt, that's why I am overcompensating with scouting/training. I will spend the next month upping my practice shooting to 5 days a week to get the muscle memory as much in place as possible. suburban from yesterday DSCN1098.JPG DSCN1100.JPG Flare full sized with his friends DSCN1174.JPG DSCN1050.JPG DSCN1167.JPG DSCN1197.JPG If your near scottsdale fashion square, get ahold of me and we can do lunch. Sounds like a plan. My office is in the airpark so I am pretty close. I am booked for the next couple of weeks so i will message you then.
