Let me put it to you this way, when he gets a tag he is doing a Euro and selling the cape.
-
My taxidermist and I have had discussions about the value of a desert bighorn sheep cape, he was telling the price for a full cape is upwards of 10k. Hope the tannery makes it right.

You can do it online now

There are mule deer all over. I found these 15 minutes from town in Tucson mountain park a couple of Saturdays ago
-
Just out of curiosity did you have an elk tag this year?
-
Seen two herds today in 36c. I don't have a tag
-
This is down in 36c. I've seen tracks by bison ridge and my nephew saw a cat of rim road as you get into town. I am thinking the guy that shot this got a foxpro and an AR this year and has become a varmint hunter with his new toys.

I did my limited opportunity cow hunt with my recurve. dang bulls kept getting the way. Have some cool cell phone video. Once I found out I got a bison tag, I put the recurve away and started with my compound again. I didnt want shooting to be the reason for me not getting one.

Haha,. I wish that was the case. I had a 125 grain broadhead that I've been practicing with for my upcoming bison hunt. Out of the 5 arrows guess which one I picked. Also I think my subconscious was telling me don't shoot you still have four more days to hunt Not the best pic but you get the idea

Missed a 80" coues that was with a another small buck on Monday in 24a. I still haven't seen any rutting activity.

I'm going to try some mountain stuff after the late elk hunts are over. Wait for a fresh snow, drive the roads until I hit a track, follow it for a bit and then start calling.

AZGFD Dec 7th Commission Meeting - Education Funding
idgaf replied to stanley's topic in The Campfire
A quick google search of Sasha and her company I would say probably owns Birkenstock. She has the "Arizona Office of Tourism" account and G&F likely got her from there. Its ok if she owns Birkenstocks her campaign needs to appeal moderates and city dweller more than it does to hardcore gun toting hunters. -

That helps with the Macro, but will that do anything for the Micro Like Dewey/Humbolt Coyotes? I think without 'boots on the ground' handing out pictures to the cat lady council people of coyotes eating pets, this would have passed with 10 million dollars for marketing/education on Macro level. -
I think the "cool" weather and "New Moon" part comes into play, because the lack of light and cool weather keeps them up in the daylight hours making it look like the rut is earlier or later.

Constructively, lets look at this. Would a 3 million dollar education/marketing fund administered by the G&F have influenced the city council members of Humbolt in any way? What would it take for them to allow the contest again? Did anybody know of this initiative before they voted? I don't think state run education plan would have helped on this one. Once the cat ladys on the city council start loosing there pets to coyotes it may be time to ask the council to rescind the ruling.
