Hunting in 36b over the weekend my hunting crew got closer to these guys than my comfort level allowed. You be the Judge on what they are up to. They were 3/4 of mile past the border in some of the pictures and a Just on the other side in the others. Its an interesting but likely overly dramatic (on my part) story that I will tell over beer

I'm happy for the rain, overall, but man I was hoping for a dry February and March for my Bison hunt. This will make it more challenging.

The Maginot Line (French: Ligne Maginot, IPA: [liɲ maʒino]), named after the French Minister of War André Maginot, was a line of concrete fortifications, obstacles, and weapon installations built by France in the 1930s to deter invasion by Germany and force them to move around the fortifications. Constructed on the French side of its borders with Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Luxembourg, the line did not extend to the English Channel due to French strategy that envisioned a move into Belgium to counter a German assault. Based on France's experience with trench warfare during World War I, the massive Maginot Line was built in the run-up to World War II, after the Locarno Conference gave rise to a fanciful and optimistic "Locarno spirit". They need to pay taxes. Enforce the current rules. Also charge a money transfer fee to Mexico. Billions of dollars go from The US via transfers every year. Just enforce the current laws and that would reduce the "want" to come here.

From before the recession the traffic has diminished because the border patrol is evolving it's methods. A better way I think would be to punish severely the guys that hire undocumented/fraudulently documented workers with severe punishments to repeat offenders and even harsher penalties to drug runners. You can try to keep them out which works to an extent(wall) or make the undocumented feel unwanted which I believe would make them not want to try to begin with.
