I had a mule deer tag in 31 last season, and I got to use it! I did glass up 4 whitetail bucks. 3 of them were around Cottonwood Canyon, they were all together. One around Cedar Mtn.

A few years ago I got a left over tag in 30b. Just hunt hard and glass alot, even more so in this unit. The deer are very skiddish. I think it's because of mtn. lions, there was quite a bit of mtn. lion scat when I was hunting. I did see a couple of bucks. I hunted the area off the FR 345 and FR 687. Alot of the area is very steep. Mary and Henry canyon are good areas. Also, Black Diamond Peak and the west side of the Cochise stronghold. If you would like more info, just leave me a message.

Peck Canyon is a excellent area. There is little traffic. The main access road is closed, the main entrance is private property, the owner closed it off, several years ago, due to trash left behind on his property. But you can still get in there. If youre interested let me know I'll get you more info, if possible I'll show you myself.

You've hunted for 4 days, only seen 1 coues doe, you give it one more shot on the last day, not seeing anything. You're headed out from where you were hunting that day. You see a coues up on a ridge, you put the binos up, from looking at the body size it might be a buck. Get the spotting scope out, low and behold, it's a fork horn. Next thing you know, he's gutted and in back of my truck headed back to camp. You go archcery javelina, end up glassing for coues!

Nothing for me, losts of left overs. See if I get lucky second time around.

It looks like they did not include the hunting license fee. If they did have their AZ hunting license, it may have been a G&F mistake. If that's not included they will reject it and still cash the check for the $5 dollar application fee.
