The story behind this is that the lion was spotted first walking up the hill right behind the deer. It got to the the top of the hill and rolled over on its back (belly in the air) and started scratching its back or something like a dog would do. After watching it for a few minutes it got up and casually walked out of view. Being so mesmerized by what had just gone on we kept watching the same spot and that's when the deer were spotted. I don't think the deer knew the cat was there and the cat didn't know the deer were there. -

Thank you. Didn't find any of these critters on him just us. Guess they like humans!? Since we're on a aquatic creature talk I've been watching a show on discovery channel and they are claiming they have found mermaids! Kinda cool! Starting to think Ariel is real! Lol

Haha! You'll have to cut my arms and legs off before I'd even consider giving my gear up and even then with today's technologies u would probably still find me out in the woods. As long as I have a pulse ill be out there.

Thank you for the reply. I looked it up after I read your response and that is exactly what they were. A buddy of mine called me after I posted this and said his father was at the lake in a different area last weekend and ended up with a bunch of these on his legs as well. I've been going to saguaro lake since I was a kid and have never encountered these worms before. Wonder if there's just an abundance of them this year or something?

Let me start off by saying I do not personally know officer Wagner. I would not normally participate in a thread like this because i hate fussing and fighting but i feel i must chime in. When I first saw this thread it intrigued me because this happened in a unit I know very well/hunt on a regular basis and he just so happens to be a warden in this particular unit. Having run into a few of the wardens up there I decided to google him to see if I recognized who he was. Upon googling him I immediately recognized who he was. I have run into him several different times and let me tell all of you this.....every time we have met he is a CLASS ACT! Caring, helpful and respectful are my only words i will use describe him. He is my favorite warden to chat with! It is very obvious why he has been awarded officer of the year not once but twice. I was not there, I was not in court, and I do not know what really happened and either does anyone else except for the ones that were there. He is not above the law as is anyone else in this great country! The case was tried in a court of law and if there was significant evidence of wrong doing there would have been repercussions. I say drop this thread!... Stop the fussing and fighting!.... It will only utimately lead to the divide of hunters and the heritage we all know and love! -
Hilarious!

Ya I noticed it! Lol. I read where he declined a reward for finding the girls. Said that money needs to be given to the girls instead. And yes he does tell it like it is! This man is my new hero! -

Deer pictures
prowlerMan replied to shurtzgarret's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
There are 3 deer in that picture. 1 buck and 2 does. The shed I think your describing is the doe bedded with her head down? -
Yes. You'll have to change the sworo stud out on your binos to the outdoorsmans stud and then the outdoorsmans adapter will fit your 15s. As far as the spotting scope goes whatever tripod head u are using, the 1/4 20 base plate screw on the head should just simply screw into the bottom of your spotting scope.
