Question about draw process
prowlerMan replied to CalebFortner's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
If u put in by paper then sometime between now and the results being posted they will take money out of your account. If u do not get drawn they will sent u a refund check after the results are posted -
bowfish, those are some pretty sweet tiger stripes u got on your boat!

i drew that same tag in 2010...and guess what it happened again the very next year in 2011. thought the odds of that would be next to impossible but then two of my close buddies (who each one put in on separate tags and one of them also drew back to back years) also drew the same tag. what are the odds of that happening with 75 tags? i can believe 3rd choice. theres something funny about the draw process in which game and fish uses. seems like bonus points, 1st, 2nd, etc. choice doesnt really matter. its about getting lucky. i speak this from experience. because at the end of the day who really knows how the draw process works here?

i killed my elk last year with 400gr axis and 100gr g5 strikers. it worked great. all you need to worry about is where u hit it

I put one on my bow about a year ago. Its kind of difficult to get it sighted in and is a little noisy when you shoot. Some say they don't like the extra weight it adds but it doesn't bother me. Personally I like it and it eliminates all the guesswork.

Hi guys, I am new to long range shooting and want some opinions on calibers that I could use to shoot out to 1000 yards. Currently I am shooting a 30-06 with a 150 grain bullet confidently out to 600 yards but feel like the round is falling out of the sky at that distance. I will be using whatever i decide to go with for deer hunting and target practice only so I have been looking at the .270 and .308 calibers. I decided to stay away from the .300s due to recoil and cost of ammo. It seems to me that the .308 would be a good all around caliber to go with based on its popularity with the military? I know there is alot of knowledge on this website and would apreciate any feed back on the subject! Thankyou in advance! Kyle

Thank-you everyone for your responses! I have chosen to go with a .300 WM and learn how to handload. What kind of powder does everyone recommend or is it a trial process to find out which one shoots best? Thank-you!

thankyou everyone for your responses! i have been researching the .300s now based on that they hit harder at longer ranges. what .300s are you guys familiar with and how do you like them?

Sorry i forgot to mention that i was wanting to practice and work my way up to shooting at ranges that far. I just want some advice in order to point me in the right direction so i am capable of making a shot like that one day.
