I’ve heard this said before…. That is unbelievable that a professional guide would drive people around Road hunting, and the clients are OK with it….. SMH

I got a 3rd season tag, along with a surprise Nevada rifle tag..... Maybe the Strip, next??
-
I have a pair of 12 EL’s with the OD stud installed that I want to sell. PM me if you’re interested
-
Well, that doesn't suck at all! I'll be looking for those tags on the re-issue list. Get em sent back for a brother!!
-
Congratulations man.... Epic year for you! And... Now you can hunt Colorado too!! haha
-
Congrats to those who drew.... I'm definitely jealous. Anyone that drew rifle tags, I'm happy to help with some advice.

I'm considering getting a pair of Kowa 664's and the 30X wide eyepieces to bracket together for a pair of Big eyes. Anyone use this setup? Likes/Dislikes? Thanks for the input!

Appreciate the referrals! There's definitely a pattern with the references. I'm in the North Valley, but I don't mind driving, considering getting mounts done is a long term deal.

Mike Lawson is a great, stand up guy, and his ranches are really special places. I've hunted up there a couple of times. Happy to give you a reference. I've also hunted 76, and I would take a private land 40 hunt, over 76 all day, every day, unless you are looking for that classic alpine, high country Elk hunt.

I can probably help you with some recommendations. I lived up there for several years, and I hunt the rifle hunts every year, and intend to do so every year in the near future.

Looking for a hunting partner! I'm going to book one of these hunts for this spring. Looks like a 2 bird package, can be split between 2 hunters. If someone wants to get on the wagon and go hunting in April, let me know.

For me, it isn't about the Turkey. It's about a few days hunting, during an awesome time of the year, in a pretty dang cool place. It's the experience, not the prize....
-
I grew up in NM. I'm game to go, if you need a partner.
-
Well that's a bummer that it can't be split anymore. I'm still planning on booking. Check out their website for details.

Around $2700 All in. The Kowa spotters are incredible for the money.
-
Yea, my understanding with the twin spotters is that the wide angle eye piece is the critical part. I already have 15 Swaros and I use them ALL the time. I just want the big eyes, for some extended scouting and hunting range, to look at Big country and narrow down the area I need to hunt. The 664's with the 30X eyepieces seem like the ticket. I considered the BTX also, but I like the straight view for glassing like that, and the cost is much more. We shall see.....

Awesome. Thanks Guys. I love the Kowa Prominar spotters. I have the 883 and 553. I'm going to do it

After a few years of accumulating points, I finally decided to burn them for a mid tier unit, with plenty of public land and go hunt. I had never been super excited about Antelope in the past, being a Mule deer junkie and all..... However, I will say, I had an absolute blast, and got to spend a week with some great friends having a ball. I went several days before the season to scout, and this guy was one of the 2 best that I could find. Relocated him on opening morning, made a fairly long stalk on foot, and managed to make it count! Enjoyed a few days of world class trout fishing afterward, and even called in a few 'yotes..... Not bad for the first hunt of the '19 fall! Can't wait to do that one again. Responses about general units are hilarious. Nobody wants to say nothing.... I'm no different. Just funny to read the cloak and dagger responses.

Thanks Guys! Will get involved in some of these for sure. The opportunities in AZ was not a small consideration in the move, BTW!

Hey CWT Family I'm making my long awaited move down to Az (N. Phx area) next month, and would like to get involved with any local groups, or activities, that I might meet some new friends with the same passions as I have! I hunt pretty much anything, and like to fish and ski as well. Bowhunt, rifle, muzzy..... Big game, predators, birds.... You name it. Love to meet some like minded folks, and maybe a new hunting and fishing partner or 2. Absolutely not looking for someone to drag me around to "their spots", I'll be out hitting the hills scouting and hunting on my own as soon as I'm settled in my new house. If you guys can think of some activities or groups that I might look into, I would sure appreciate the suggestions. Cheers!

Hey Bob, I haven't hunted it for deer, but have called Coyotes, and done a little shed hunting. Happy to tell you the little that I know. Give me a ring some time. 720 648 7686 Chris
