Crazy story, but cool. I've had the old rock roll above me while sitting water before...it is an adrenaline rush. Nice color bear.
-
I second that motion....boars or sows? And...great job on the call. Next time keep calling them until you can see the whites of their eyes and then pull the trigger!
-
Nice bears. You make it look too easy. Great job!
-
Good job. That's what I would call a "bad country bear."
-
Love the color. That would have been a tough choice.....call or shoot. It looks like you made the right one!
-
The shorter muzzle makes the bear look like it is not a juvenile. Based on the belly, I'd go about 250 pounds plus or minus 50. Good bear.

4 almost bear 30 is my favorite time of day. Glad it worked out for you. How much money did that cost you?
-
Cool bear. How long did you watch him feed and move around?

You have an uncanny ability to still hunt bears over there in CA. Great job! -
More specific information please.....Did you lose it between Hwy 87 and the Lone Pine Saddle junction? Or did you come from the Roosevelt side? Was it in a black case?
-
Nice bear. Great video. How high off the ground were you situated?
-
Nice chocolate color. She must have been close to have her come in that quick. You must have been right on top of her!
-
Sweet color. Cinnamons are my favorite! How long did you wait before tracking him?
-
Always a great accomplishment to tag a bear. In what unit did you harvest your sow? I assume you glassed her up, rather than brought her into range with a predator call?
-
Interesting and beautiful first bear with dark legs. Very similar color pattern to the the one Vowell and Chad shot opening day. http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/34528-bear-down-opening-day/

Beeaauutiful bear! But, I still like the shaggy white-looking bear that you got a picture of two years ago the best. However, this guy is better groomed!
-
Great job! What unit and how far was the shot?
-
Ditto on August 24th, when both bears abd bucks are fair game.
-
How close would you let it get?

That is a beautful and healthy looking bear! What unit was that in? -
Dear Chad, I like your style and class. I accept your offer and hope that we can hunt some big bruins "bear naked!" Or some large deer "buck naked!" I'll see you at the water hole. Your Bluffing in the Buff fellow hunter, Dahc ...Seriously, Lance, that is CLASSIC!! I have been at two remote water holes that I "felt" no one else had ever been to in a hundred years, only to discover a trail camera appearing at each one a few months later. I left much friendlier notes and had great talks, phone calls, emails, etc with both of the other camera owners. We ended up sharing data and our various hunting dates to make sure that each of us could enjoy those spots without conflict and It worked out great. One individual was a fellow CWT member. Its much better to "share" a spot and make new friends, rather than fight over it and create animosity and enemies. I hope things work out for you. The other hunter should have shown more class!!

I have pulled my GLOCK out of its holster and had a 3 second stare down with a bear I had shot in the face with an arrow during archery season at about 10 yards. I just about squoze the trigger, but it turned and headed away from me. I am somewhat hesitant to pull the trigger during archery season or while I am in an area closed to bear hunting, because G&F will NOT ever let you keep that bear. That being said, if I am fearing for my life, that bear will eat lead regardless of anything else. -
Funny Tyler. A "half mount" for half-a-bear!!
-
+1 on the "honey badger" bear. That is a lifetime trophy!
-
I have to vote on the 2nd bear too, and think he is probably the same bear in the 3rd picture. Anyways, lots of cinnamons at that spot!

I must be crazy, but I like the weird angle that throws all the animals right up against the lens.
