Found this on the opening day of archery javelina. I rarely find sheds, as i typically do not search for them, so it was a neat little find. I have no concept of size. Is this from something like a 20 inch buck?

Looks like you are straining from the weight of that boar. Nice job!

Wow!. I saw that picture and thought that it was no big deal. The picture was cropped at the base of my screen about half-way down on the pig. I then panned down to see the whole picture and nearly choked on a bite of sausage pizza when I saw the "C-section" you performed on that javelina with your broadhead! Gruesome indeed! Way to fill your tag! And thanks for the "explicit" photo warning.

The shed was so small, you simply couldn't see it Lance. I magnified it up a bit!

Change will happen to the deer draw regardless of how many long shots are taken. It is inevitable with the increasingly bulging population of our great state. It is not so much what we hunt with, but the number of hunters who will be joining our ranks and those non-hunters who will not, but who will be voting to legislate what we do in the field. I predator call for bear, and on archery hunts, that for me is a 20 yard or less shot. For, rifle, it is still less than a 100 yard shot. I am not upset with the marksman who glasses bears up in the prickly pear at 1000 yards and shoots them in short pants and a t-shirt without any camouflage or scent killer. Nor do I resent the houndsmen who use canines to put bears into trees. Both of these latter methods, in my opinion, are likely to yield bears a little bit easier than predator calling by hand. Yet, I recognize that bear hunters do not all seek their quarry using the same methods. "One style or size" does not fit all for hunting. I respect their passion and don't fault their choices or technology use for the changes that have occurred in our bear regulations over the past 20 years, or those that are coming down the road. Those changes will come, regardless of these things.

What kind of bear did you tag with that bazooka? How heavy was it and how far was the shot?

Any famous whit pigs on that ranch? Is hunting javis in Mexico cheaper than an AZ rez tag?

I joined this site for what Amanda had clearly intended: Coueswhitetail.com, "share your passion for the hunt." -not your criticism of personal choice and individual ethics.

Nice pig! Was the 14' notation how close you came to the pigs?

Looks like you nailed him! What broadhead did you use?

That is a nice present! Great job!

Very nice! Are you shooting the old school aluminum arrows with your bow? Shot my first pig with the wide diameter aluminums!

Biggest congratulations!!! My wife and I had three miscarriages and one tubal pregnancy before having twins three years ago. It definitely puts things in perspective and brings you to your knees. Thus, I know your pain and your joy!! I am just starting to get a little more time in the field myself and hope to get more and more as my twins get older! Congratulations again!

That is a SWEEET cat!! How big is the exit hole and where is that hole at? Might make a nice rug! I might PM you for an offer.

So you doe called that buck into 20 yards? What call/model was that? I stopped two bucks this year with a grunt, but my call had no doe sound on it. Sweet deal! Congratulations!

That is a champ in my book!

I like the holy character "batman" comment. Very unique antler organization on that buck.

How many animals have you harvested in Arizona
kidso replied to Seldom Drawn's topic in The Campfire
30 years hunting. 20 archery javelina, 3 archery bear, 3 rifle bear, 2 rifle mountain lion, 2 cow elk, 0 bull elk, and 0 deer of any species. I love predator calling for bear. -
Nice job! Love the baby reds!

Why would I try and kill a pig? Simple. I love pig meat! That is why I try to get one each year with my bow. And as for my deer, I had exhausted all my efforts and resources in finding it and was actually hiking back towards my Jeep to leave when I stumbled right into the feeding pigs! Thus, I took advantage of the opportunity before me to harvest a pig. If I stumbled into a mountain lion, I would have tried to tag that too!

A brother with a pick up truck is a blessing indeed! Nice deer!

Sweet photos! I am guessing this is up along the Salt River Lakes region, maybe Canyon Lake?

I thought you had already gutted him out with all that blood! Great job! How far was the shot?

Your secret is out, because I know where you hunt. It is that wildlife sanctuary on private conservancy land that is closed to human access. Awesome spot!
