I like the double set of shiny eyes!
-
I like the color, too! Quite beautiful!

Shoot a bear this year!

Sweet success!! I also love the scar on his muzzle! Looks like you caught him feeding in the burn regrowth area. Nice stuff there!
-
You can make a jam from them or wait for the bears to come and eat them!

Nothing big here, just thought the bat illumination was interesting.

I have one. No worries. Thanks.

Some nice colored bears in there!

Experiences with a .338 win mag / Suggestions for wet weather?
kidso replied to kidso's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I guess I could try a .375 out at a shop or range and see if I survive! Plenty of time to build a bionic shoulder.- 27 replies

Experiences with a .338 win mag / Suggestions for wet weather?
kidso replied to kidso's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Is the .375 H&H a beast to fire? My .300 win mag is fine for me with just its recoil pad. It even has less kick than my wood stock Savage .30-06. But, I would be scared to pull the trigger on a .375!! I will check that one out too. The Ruger Hawkeye all weather also looks interesting.- 27 replies

So, this is not your wilderness ready wife, I take it! Face and date is altered to protect the innocent.

A few more added to a trophy room
kidso replied to swwildlife's topic in Southwest Wildlife Taxidermy
I can see a brown bear standing just out of the picture frame in the second picture. -
ShedhunterAZ, I hope that wasn't you in the daisy duke shorts and bikini top hiking past my camera! My camera is in a lockbox facing west. It is a good area for elk and turkey, but pretty poor for bear.

That is a cool bear to pursue! It has been a month, has he left the area for another food source yet? Any recent pictures over the last 4 weeks?

Bear calling / hunting seminar at PVCI meeting Aug 5th
kidso replied to Couestracker's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
In all honesty, I was humbled when asked to speak. My first response was, "I am no Reed Peterson." However, I heard Reed Peterson speak at a similar seminar was I was 16 years old and that experience set me on the addictive path of hand calling bears. Thus, I am honored to share a little of what I have experienced over the years and if I can spark a similar interest in one individual to try hand calling bears, then I have honored the gift that Reed Peterson instilled in me. And no...I am not yet planning on shaving. I have reached the 10-month mark and need just two more months to achieve my one year goal of not shaving to see how bushy my beard can be! But, I will shower! -
I was supportive of being patient and waiting at first to give him a chance, but I pulled out and took a loss too. A class action law suit from sportsmen can be executed and unhappy customers could sue for 3 to 4 times the amount of their monetary losses, as he failed to contractually deliver.

How much of that bear on 6/17 is blonde and how much is whitewash from the photo glare?

Tank is again full to the brim.

Was that the super raffle bear tag?

Going into 22N early on Monday to set some cams for elk and pick some berries. Will be driving through lots of 22 and will return the same day and report.

From what Alaskan game unit was this bear harvested? What was its skull size and squared hide measurements?
-
What are the dates of your hunt, and what unit do you have?

I have shot a variety of different sized bears on state land. However, San Carlos does have some bruisers, and color-phased ones at that! For the price of that rez tag, I would wait for a larger colored-phased beast to come along. Do some calling out there!
