Looks like a type of lichen to me.

It certainly was fun to have everyone over. Next year we should throw a grill on over the coals and cook various game meats as part of a potluck. The javelina cheese dip that James brought was awesome. I can do some BBQ bear.

Man, that is why I have never really deer hunted before or accidentally tagged a deer. I see the one buck in the shade on the right side of the giant saguaro cactus. Where are some of the others?

Sold in the parking lot before she could give it to me to another teacher, $400 bucks. Sorry.

A fellow teacher is selling a Glock 22. It is almost a year old and basically brand new with 2 mags. Less than a box of shells through it. They asked me to list it here. Pictures tonight, I believe. PM me or text me if you want this pistol quick. Thanks, Keith.

Let me know if you find it. My release finger is getting itchy.

Sorry. Our address was in an earlier post from a previous year. It is 4904 W. Boston Street, Chandler, 85226. Easy access, just 3 miles east of the I-10 off of Chandler Blvd, or a mile north of the 202 South and Kyrene Rd, or 2 miles south of the 101 South and Chandler Blvd. There is a Mormon Church one block north of my house with plenty of parking available, just in case it is needed. I try to avoid parking along the street only in front of my house so the view is not blocked for passing traffic. P.S. If anyone is handicapped or injured, the house across the street from me is vacant, as the renters just moved out, so you can park in their driveway without any worries.

What pig hunts are opening up? Is it an archery OTC tag for metro units?

I don't need the lights either to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, I just enjoy receiving the annual Christmas card from SRP as a kickback for all the extra money they make off my December utility bill!

Well, I put the best effort I could for my 3rd late archery bull hunt. First year, I only hunted one day. Last year, I hunted two days. This year, I hunted four and a half days. I was in 22N. A Junior's Cow hunt just ended before my hunt, and I think they had scared the bulls/elk pretty good in my area. I had two salt licks a mile apart that had bulls in daylight hours every other day and cows every day multiple times. They all went nocturnal. Cows were coming in 30 to 45 minutes after dark and bulls were showing up after midnight. I bumped elk daily, but they were so skittish, I couldn't even have shot one with a rifle, let alone my bow. It was still fun, though. But, I would rather have made 50 stands calling for bear in 100 degree weather in four and a half days than freezing my tail off in 20 to 50 degree weather in one spot. That is hunting!

Very nice! Curious, was it a poached and confiscated lion, hence it now belongs to Fish & Game?

Well, the meat isn't broke!!! Great job!

Great job on all accounts!

Nice bull, wish it were mine! Great job!

At least you can make a coon skin cap like Daniel Boone! That would be cool!

One edit...not a problem, just an interesting situation that one accepts when hunting our public lands... a junior hunter did harvest a cow off one of my two salt licks the day before my hunt started and left the huge gut pile 50 feet from my lick. However, a pack of coyotes or a big bear took care of that overnight, as it was gone without a trace! I expected overlap on that plan "B" location, as I had 8 hunters on that cam, but none on my other salt lick at my plan "A" spot. Needless to say, I spent my hunt at my plan "A" spot. Good to have several options when public land hunting!

I sat water and salt from 4:30-9:00am each morning, then stalked around on low finger ridges bumping up bedded elk until I returned to sit water and salt from 4:00-dark pm each evening. Never saw another hunter in the field, but heard them driving machines north and south of me road hunting during my morning and evening sitting sessions. My camp was left unguarded during all daylight hours, but nothing was disturbed by anyone. So, I had no problems with other hunters.
