Now that's the spirit! ....I never paid more than $40 for a game camera, as that was all I was ever willing to risk losing.

Snake gaiters with shorts....now that is a fashion statement! I too wear Whitewater gaiters, but have never tried them on pantless.

To everyone who attended the Christmas Cocoa Gathering at my home, I have a strange request for you. I applied for a $500 scholarship from the International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas to attend a professional "Santa School" to improve my santa skills. My application is complete and I am on a short list. They asked if I had any pictures of me interacting with children with my suit on. I have a couple, but they are with my twins. If anyone took any photos with me and their children that I could submit to increase my portfolio variety with other children, I would appreciate it! Send to my email at kidso@hotmail.com Thanks! Santa Keith

Always watch your back!!!!!
kidso replied to murfys69law's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Santa has elves watching his back, no worries! -
....and returning when? Best thing is to have a buddy drop you off and pick you up and leave your vehicle at their place while you are gone.

+1 for Will K. I practice with mine on and my rangefinder around my neck.

I love my Bowtech Destroyer 350 LE. Seems, smooth, fast, and forgiving.

Sad times....our own people burning down Baltimore. Last time that almost happened the British had sacked Washington D.C. and were on their way to burn Baltimore, but fortunately Fort McHenry stood in the way between the British navy and that city. That historic event during the War of 1812 gave rise to our own national anthem, the Star Spangled Banner. What a shameless and disrespectful assault on our beloved history.

Sounds like great fun! Congratulations!

Sounds like it happened just the way a tough bird should be earned! Congratulations Adam for your persistence and perseverance! Speaking of tough ol' birds, how did a big boy like you suffer a broken leg?

I think the best part of this hunt happened before the hunt.....straight A's!!! As a teacher, I applaud parents who hold their children to high academic standards and equally applaud those children who meet those standards. By the way, you can also be proud of that turkey!

Very nice, indeed!

Not sure about the difference in a mount between a bull and a cow...but as far as A difference, how about 1,000 pounds difference!!!

I will have to edit in a day or two to post pictures of the flounders I caught off the beach. I caught 9 flounder in just about 90 minutes of shore fishing. Their fillets completely filled a gallon-sized Zip Lock bag. I did get 3 small octopus from the coral reef I visit and a bunch of ghost shrimp and some other invertebrates for my class aquarium. It was a great trip! Going back in June for an entire week of shore fishing. The Malecon area was the "busiest" I have seen it in 5-6 years. It was packed with American visitors. The picture shows the imprint of a standard 5-gallon bucket in the sand beneath the 2nd or 3rd fish from the left, just to give you an idea of the size of these fish.

Picture Request from Christmas Gathering
kidso replied to kidso's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
Update: I was fortunate enough to win the scholarship to the professional santa school that I applied for recently. Look out Christmas! -
Man, you guys spoil me! I am heading to Rocky Point tomorrow, for two blessed days of SHORE fishing. Hoping for some corvina and flounder. Primary purpose for the trip is to catch some octopus for my classroom aquarium to support my invertebrate science lessons.

I have done a cow tag unit 9 twice. That does not make me an expert, but I still shot both of my cows with bugling bulls the 2nd week of October. I have the coordinates or map of an old trick tank I came across that I can try to send you. There are some huge water holes, but a little off the path trick tank could be a diamond in the rough for you. I hunted areas in the northern part of the unit at higher elevations.

I lost it in a fistfight after the game.... ....just kidding, of course!

What do you gain by moving from an entry level bow to a high end set up
kidso replied to apache12's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
I had a PSE Nova for over a decade, until I bought a Bowtech Destroyer 350 LE about a year-and-a-half ago. With my Nova, my comfort range was 40 yards, and 50 yards was risky, much like you stated. With my new bow (and shooting practice twice a week for an hour), I improved my effective shooting range to 80 yards within a month. Thus, the new technology, combined with dedicated practice, doubled my confidence range! In addition, at 40 yards, my Nova was launching arrows with an arc into the sky. With my Destroyer, arrows fly flat with little to no arc even out to about 60 yards. That being said, I have tagged one bear and two javelina with my updated bow, with all shots being under 40 yards. So, I have not had to use the additional range the updated bow has given me....yet. -
I bought my D350 on Ebay and it was as advertised. I love the beast!

I am not a deer man, but I would shoot that lion if I called it in!

Magnifier on sight in AZ, legal or not?
kidso replied to GTIMANiac's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
I have an HHA Optimizer single pin slider sight and use their 2x magnifier kit. I have their 4x magnifier kit, but am happy with the 2x. Will sell the 4x magnifier for $60. If you want to look at the 2x, i will be shooting tomorrow morning at Paseo Vista archery range in Chandler from 6 to 7am.
