Hey everyone I was looking for a good taxidermist in New Mexico. I live in Las Cruces but will travel a good distance to find a good Taxidermist. I really want to get a leg up on the process in case this year I shoot anything I want to get mounted. Last year I shot a couple of real nice yotes that I thought about mounting but didn't know anyone who could do it. I figure if nothing else I should be able to get a decent yote to mount. Hopefully I will get a big Muley or Javelina to mount since those are the tags I drew.

In all honesty I think it looks pretty good. The only way to judge if he captured the essence of the deer is to post a picture of him after you harvested it. One thing I don't like about the mount, (again this is ust my own personal view) is how the lip curls up making the deer look like it was smiling. Otherwise great deer and I wouldn't be too dissapointed in the mount

Have never hunted muleys here before but have seen a ton while scouting for elk. The east side of the San Mateo mtns is a great place to to start as stated before. I saw a bunch when glassing around the Apache kid campground. Its on the east side of the San Mateos off of exit 100 on I25. Hope this is some help to you. Get up high and glass the lowlands early and late and you should be able to find something.

Just a quick few questions for those who have gone to Africa. I really want to go there and am planning to do it in 3 to 5 years. I saved about 3000 in the last year to put to this trip that I have no plans on touching. I am hoping to do the same in the next few years. My questions revolve around reliable outfitters, (I want to do an archery trip), what websites have good info, and how to plan a hunt like this. It looks like quite a few guys here have done this before so I would love to hear you input as well as stories. (Good, bad, it should all help me out) Thanks everyone By the way I really want to go for Kudu or Oryx with some other speies mixed in.

Hey everyone I have a kind of a odd question and was wondering if anyone could help me out. I was looking for a charity or program like big brothers that helps take kids who wouldn't have the opportunity to go hunting and fishing a chance to do it here. I moved to New Mexico 2 years ago and haven't had much luck finding a program like this. I am originally from Wisconsin and used to work in a few programs like this when I was in college and would really like to get back into it here now that I am settled in.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I guess my big question is money related. I plan on saving at least 15000 for this trip which shouldn't be a problem to do. The big question is if this is enough to do a safari in Africa
