    Giant 410+ Velvet Bull killed!

Tearing down the auction hunter and calling his ability to buy the tag "unfair" is the same mentality as the liberals saying the rich should be punished for having too much money and that we should tax them more to give it to the entitlement programs. We conservitives know that the money that Mr. Hamberlin has acumulated that allows him to buy such a tag and pay guides to help him kill such an animal was created somewhere along the line through capitalism and achieving the American dream. Just like the wealthy provide a large percentage of jobs in our country Mr. Hamberlin provides a great number of dollars to wildlife conservation. Chris said it best when he said "life is not fair." The way I look at it we have two choices; 1. Do our best to get on the good side of that statement (conservative) 2. Whine and complain about how we're not on the good side of that statement (liberal). Chances are I will never buy an auction tag but the way I look at, me drawing a bull tag and killing a 370 bull with my limited time and resources is an equal accomplishment to Mr. Hamberlin killing a 410 bull with his time and resources, and I am OK with that. Oh, and the Game and Fish has made it "fair" by giving us all a chance at the same tag for just a few bucks through the super raffle, right?

    Picked up a few

My family and I moved from Tucson to Alamogordo, NM back in March. Shortly after the Forest here closed due to fire danger. I had beed dying to get out and learn some new country and try to find some sheds. Our Forest finally opened back up on Thursday so I decided to give it a go today. I definately put on more miles than I picked up sheds but having never been into the area before I was satisfied with what I found. I attached a few "as they lay" shots and one showing off my new Coueswhitetail.com T-shirt!

    Jaguarundi in AZ

They are a cross between a Jaguar and a Coatimundi. They are the result of not enough jaguars for the remaining jaguars to mate with and too many Coatis running around. DNA results have shown that Macho B fathered several Jaguarundis.

    36B burning to the ground..

Do we know for sure that OJ Simpson killed his wife? Fires are just another negative impact from our "non-existant" problem along the border. Although I agree that much of what these fires have done will probably be positive very quickly.

    Wallow Fire

Thanks for saying this. There are many of us in the Forest Service that would like to see things managed differently but our hands are tied in so many ways. I am definately not saying the Forest Service makes all the right decisions but there are many of us that agree that logging, ranching, and prescribed burns are crucial to replacing the low intensity fires that would naturally reduce the fuels every few years before we all came along. I know the Forest Service is not popular on this site and I can understand some of the reasons why but please know that there are fellow hunters and lovers of the outdoors within the agency that are really trying to make a difference for the good.
