Really nice buck! Congrats!

Casey, The last thing that I want to do is get down on Border Patrol. I am very greatful for what you guys do and I tell agents that whenever I see them. I am always hurt when I hear that one of your agents has gone down. I know you guys are under-staffed and could use a lot more agents out there. I have quite a few friends that work for border patrol. I almost went to work for Border Patrol. I went through the whole application process and was offered the Nogales Station but decided to stick to what I had gone to school for. I am looking for more of an education here than to to be critical. In all my time hunting near the border (which is a lot) I have seen a hand full of agents on foot or horse back out in the field and have only ever seen one up on a hill glassing while I have seen about 9 million driving up and down the roads. I have never seen illegals while driving but have glassed up quite a few while out in the field including quite a few that were "hiding" for the day. I have also walked up on quite a few of their lay up spots. I know I am not trained in catching illegals, bandits, drug runners, etc. but my question is, why does border patrol not use more of the techniques that we use to find coues deer? Brian

Nope, but neither do big coues bucks

Not fair! They are hard enough to see as it is!

Nice job and good pictures! -
Those bandits are the scum of scum. It is one thing to cross the border in search of a better life but to prey on those people becuase of their vulnerability is as low as it gets. The drug runners didn't even carry guns until they started getting robbed and shot up by these bandits. I was hunting in that area on 10/22. All I know is if anyone comes near me wearing a ski mask while I am hunting in my country it is bound to get ugly fast. Nothing against border patrol but I bet you could take about 10 hunters from this site and put them up on some of the peaks in the Bartolos behind some 15s and we would have those dudes found pretty quick.

We guessed him at closer to 100" while we watched you pack him out.

Good grief! Those look like something that Reynolds would have at his house. Great finds.

Great pics! Neat to see the buck in velvet and then hard horned.

Dude that is really cool. I would not hesitate to hang that in my house. The wife on the other hand...

Nice buck Devin. We definately know what you are talking about with the deer driving random shooters down there. Good grief!
