I am not calling BS but that sure looks like the rack off one of our coues deer's cousins from a little further east. Look how tan the hide is.

Nice barbary sheep! How long is he?

The Huge bull that walks away!
Brian Payne replied to Koury Guide Service's topic in Koury Guide Service
You must have had another bull located that was out of this world because that bull is pretty much the "ultimate prize" in my book. -
What an unbelievable deer! That is great story about the shed too.
-
That is a great buck and video! Were you on the hunt too Jay?
-
Nice Barbary Ram! Congrats!

Those are some incredible animals and some beautiful mounts.

Coues deer don't shed their antlers till April or even May when it is already 100+ in the desert so here is my advice for desert shed hunting: Take lots of water, sunscreen, and watch out for snakes! Let me know how it goes while I am up in the cool pines looking for elk sheds that are a lot easier to see.

Fantastic buck Andy. Congrats!

Good stuff Josh! That was like 10 good rounds of feather-weight boxing right there. It is easy to see how they break points and beams when they fight like that. They must be exhausted afterward. -
My VERY COOL buck from Mexico
Brian Payne replied to Ernesto C's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
Hammer of a buck Ernesto! Congrats. -
The timber market is just not good enough and the infrastructure not in place for someone to setup cable logging or helicopter logging and make a profit. So anything that is near a road and within reasonable distance for a skidder can be salvaged, otherwise it is not worth it to the logging companies. As you know much of the country that the Wallow Fire burned is rough and remote and you just can't get the timber out.

Very Nice non typical Coues
Brian Payne replied to chuckinator's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Wow! That thing is a beast! What a great deer. Love the character. Congrats to the hunter. -
Mom, dad, and son/daughter all go on a quality hunt together. Son/daughter gets to shoot the animal and a lifetime hunter is born. Sounds like a good thing to me

That is funny stuff!

Great buck!
