Did you tag the tree?

Good optics and patience, don't get discouraged when you blow a couple set-ups.

There are a couple of ranches in Colorado that offer free range bison hunts.

If you are looking to buy guns start hitting pawn shops, as a guesstimate figure they paid 1/2 of the sticker price for the gun and start dickering........I've never paid sticker price for a gun at a pawn shop, if one shop won't budge go check out another one, or if a gun spends a long time on the shelf they are sometimes just happy to see it go.

pm'd on the pistol, can't find anything about a Model 906 anywhere

The Trespassing Laws here are much better than in Wy for hunters. There the property does not have to be posted, there can be a 1 acre patch in the middle of public ground and if you go on it the property owner can have you cited, no signs, orange posts, no nothing. I like the laws here and go out of my way to respect property owners.

Was it me I would have assumed you were quail hunters and went about my plan, dirt tanks are the instigator of many heated discussions in Az.

They taste horrible, if you shoot any I will take them off your hands and bury them.

Tamale's are good for that too Amanda, eat them cold or get a small bed of coals going and heat them up in the husk, just have to turn them often, they're pretty tasty on a cold morning.

Here is the spice mix I use for Mexican food. 1 tblspn New Mexico or other dried chile powder 1 tblspn sweet Hungarian paprika 2 tblspn dried Cilantro 2 tspns kosher salt 1 1/2 tspn whole cumin seeds 1 tspn ground cumin 1/2 tspn coarsely ground black pepper 1/2 tspn ground cayenne pepper 1/4 tspn ground coriander I add dried jalapeno's & onion's to it for field use and dice up a fresh pepper or 3 and half an onion at home. Just mix this up an add a couple spoonful's to the meat.

sounds to me like it's time for an "intervention"........I'll come pick you up and take you to rehab......of course I'll have glass and firearms in the rig, can't go cold turkey or it might kill you.......

I've got a .300wm with BOSS, I get to see the animal react to the bullet, my daughter used to shoot it at Hunter Ed demo's when she was 10 through 15 with 180 gr hot handloads. Real hard on your earballs, I'd wear plugs and mickey mouse ears when punching paper, not so bad when you are shooting at game and the juices are flowing.

Have you ever missed a shot because of a steep angle?
azslim replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Contests and Giveaways!
I was 15 or 16 hunting in Wy, I walked out on the edge of a steep draw for a look-see and didn't see anything. So I turned and started walking away, then I heard something and turned around real quick. A great big buck was heading for a rock rib that had an opening in it. I got 3 rounds off at him before he hit the opening, all three went right over the top of him. That experience is when I started aiming low on angle shots and watching behind me much more. -
Sorry for the delay, been out of town. Have a Win Mod 70 30-06, all black and not many rounds through it, no scope but does have rings mounted. I thought it and some cash.
-
cash only or are you up for some swapping & cash?

For all my " LIBATION " prone friends Once again this year, I've had requests for my Tequila Christmas Cake recipe so here goes: Please keep in your files as I am beginning to get tired of typing this up every year! 1 cup sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1 cup water 1 tsp. salt 1 cup brown sugar Lemon juice 4 large eggs Nuts 1 bottle tequila 2 cups dried fruit Sample the tequila to check quality. Take a large bowl; check the tequila again to be sure it is of the highest quality. Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point, it is best to make sure the tequila is still OK. Try another cup just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 eegs and add to the bowl and chuck iin the cup of dried fruit. Pick the fruit up off the floor. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit getas stuck in the beaterers, just pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the tequila to test for tonsisticity. Next, sift 2 cups of salt, or something. Check the tequila. Now shift the lemon ice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 s and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window. Finish the tequila and wipe the counter with the cat. Cherry Mristmas

Strings good on Hoyt Carbon Element RKT?
azslim replied to Kelco's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
The serving on the stock strings from my Vectrix crapped out after a few hundred arrows. I just pulled it with the peep & loop in place and stuck it in my case as an emergency string, then put on a new Winner's Choice. -
Prosecute Eric Holder

I think it was an "end justifies the means" type deal, if you remember BEFORE it came out the ATF was allowing the guns to go across the border there were stories on all of the major channels about the guns flowing over the border and the need to clamp down on gun sales in the US, and this was shortly after the Pres of Mexico got a standing ovation by Congress when he chastised the US for it's 2nd amendment. -
doubt the shed is from the same deer, genetics have a lot to do with antler growth, I've taken deer out of the same area from the same bloodline and the antlers are mirrors, like the ones in your pictures.

Why is it that it seems the bigger the tires and the higher the lift on a truck the more ignorant the pilot is. I run into them a lot in Phx trying to push other drivers around, doesn't seem to matter if the pilot is male or female. When they try to push me I slow down and usually wave when the blow by flipping me off.
