Nice buck. You were lucky you finished the title with "Wife's Buck" and not "Big & Wide, Wife's Butt".......... You'd be in soooo much trouble.

I can relate about the "Golden Rule", I had 3 kids out with a General tag in 36B 10+ years ago and some guy came and parked about 20 yds from our camp and got out to start hunting. We had a short discussion and the kids got the bowl we were overlooking. There are some ignorant and selfish people nowadays.

The one from the Outdoorsman's works better, the bayonet stud type. Costs more but it is worth it.

stuck cases in my resizing die
azslim replied to swaro06's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I like the RCBS spray lube, put my cases in a box top, spray the down, then rub the lube all over the case as I'm putting it in the press, never had a stuck case. Would also tumble first, then clean the necks with a brush before going to the press. -
I have the 450T, love it, great maps for the entire US, hard on batteries compared to my 13 year old Etrex but you have to pay for the extra features somehow, a couple more batteries is a cheap price. My partner this weekend had the 450, he is happy with it. Hates their customer service tho. I haven't had to use them so I don't have an opinion on CS.

supposed to take a quart Gatorade bottle in the blind with you, or a gallon ziplock baggie - just don't step on the baggie on accident after you start filling it

3A-3C General Mule Deer Hunt Success! Big Bucks!!
azslim replied to Koury Guide Service's topic in Koury Guide Service
Looks like the burn didn't hurt the game population much, just opened things up so you can glass, nice job tagging out your hunters. My family hunted an old burn my Dad drove a water truck on when he was 14, we hunted it for 25 years after that and always found stuff to shoot. -
I've seen a few cameras burnt up over the years, guys are bummed when they can't get in to save them

need a screen saver, mine is scratched pretty good and I'm careful, I usually grab a small stick to use as a stylis, sometimes buttons gets pushed while it is in your pocket and if you lock the screen it beeps at you, love mine but still have a few things to work on

it was an young buck with good genes, a 105ish and 90ish gave us the slip, guess aliens beamed them up because I couldn't find them when I came up from the other side. Pretty tough country and your Uncle decided the young buck would be just fine, his ankle was causing him agony. Bob Stevens of Apache Outdoors was the Outfitter/Guide, I came along as a glasser and pack mule. Some trophy's in that country, but you are going to earn them.

I'd chew a Benedryl and get to my truck or phone service. Most folks on this board will not die from a rattlesnake bite, get real sick tho. Not all bites have venom in them, some are dry holes because the snake knew it couldn't eat you so why waste the poison. An Epi alternative, granted not as good, is Benedryl, use it for snake bites and bee stings. Crunch it up before swallowing so it works quicker. It won't stop anaphalaxis but it will slow it down. The majority of the snake bites happen right after the words "here, hold my beer".

What you guys think about the Garmin MONTANA 650T
azslim replied to game hntr's topic in GPS and Maps
haven't used the Montana, picked up the Oregon 450T last year, works great, maps of the entire US preloaded, only complaint - why would you ever have a "delete all waypoints" button. I hate that button. -
couple tblspoons kosher salt, 1/4 cup brown sugar, little blast of pineapple or orange juice, marinate 24 hrs then sprinkle with pepper before you dry. Have hung on a line and used a smoker, liked alder, hickory and apple woods the best.

Heading down wed or thurs, just me so I'll gypsy camp, cot under the stars wherever I feel like stopping. Will look for a good one first couple days, then just filling the freezer.
