you don't need camo if you are hunting with a gun, I wear double faced Carhartt's and whatever camo shirt is on top when I get in my clothing bag - you can bust right through the middle of catclaw patches with the Carhartt's

azslim replied to justanotherpunk's topic in Classified Ads
I have a Win Mod 70 in .30-06 with rings, not sure what brand. I would have to go through my book for the exact model, it is synthetic stocked and flat black matte finish. -
deer population is low, drought has affected them, starting to see whitetails in areas that was only mule deer when I was a kid and very few mule deer.

I have been lucky enough to help on a few of these, the April and Aug events, and the ladies really enjoy them. They learn a few new things, make a few new friends and seem to have a blast over the weekend. You wife/girlfriend will thank you if you send her to one of these. -

great for both of you, he'll never forget this hunt. You will never hear anyone on their deathbed wishing they had spent more time at work, take advantage of the time you have with your kids when they are young.
-
and if you get rust try a lapping kit, put different grits on rounds and shoot them, it cleans them up pretty good provided it is not too corroded.
-
WOW, and on public land too boot.
-
been on many hunts, never on an unsuccessful one, I figure if I learn one thing on the outing it was a successful hunt
-
Nice buck, good job.

Nice deer. You will never regret taking your kids out with their own tags. And let them start off with the first legal animal they see and work up from there. I've run into guys that were "hunting with their kids" but were so focused on bragging rights for the size of buck their kid would kill they forgot to let the kid have fun. My daughters were my hunting partners for many years.
