it is called the Coues Buck Call and it is put out by Modern Call Products, I bought mine 12 to 14 years ago
-
you can pick up a base model Shooting Chrony for under $100, back when I got mine I think it was $65, but that was many years ago.

I've had good luck with the coues call from Modern Call Products, these guys are out of Buckeye. Never used it during archery, I go for mulies, but I have used it during rifle season and it stops all deer once, small bucks and does multiple times. I put the o-ring between the B & U on the reed.
-
I have also used burger for a different flavor, mix 1 to 1 game and 70/30 or 80/20 store bought hamburger, works good for taco meat Chorizo
-
for me I use 2/3 game, 1/3 fatty pork butt - my sausage is real lean, for javelina I mix 50/50 just to get a bit more. You can buy ground pork at Costco, they put it out on Sunday's, occasionally some left on Monday. I don't add anything to my burger, it's just lean, ground meat. If I want it to stick together for a meatloaf I'll add in a couple eggs. There are recipe's posted here already for the Italian, Chorizo and Breakfast sausages

a wind checker puff bottle works good, if you are the spotter have the hunter do a wind check and you can see the puff of powder, also helps you walking the hunter in because the wind where you are may be different than where the hunter is
-
since there is no price I will start the bidding at $100, a 12 pack of beer and can of peanuts - your choice whether salted or honey roasted

have taken off after big bucks in the flats a few times, never been able to seal the deal, they are up and down all day long chasing shade and browse, they may only move a few yds but if you don't know they moved you will never see them

I carry a biodegradable soap on fires, do skivvies and socks in my hard-hat, outside layer just gets dirty over 2 wks

I have a 120 qt cooler I got at Costco that will fit a cow elk qtr'd, have to bone out a bull. I use frozen 16 oz water bottles for ice in my meat cooler. Believe I paid $60 for the cooler.

I've mooned a couple over the years

taught Hunter Ed for 12+ years, started my own girls hunting when they were old enough, have helped many other youngsters learn how to hunt, just putting down something is a big deal for them, they can worry about big racks when they start hunting on their own Gotta walk before you can run

I have butchered on my tailgate and taken everything home wrapped in paper, put the steaks and roasts in the freezer and break out the grinder. Now I have a seal-a-meal and age the meat in an old fridge on the back porch, is nice but not sure I didn't like butchering in the field better, just fling stuff over your shoulder and feed the crows and coyotes

I packed hard candy in my pocket when I took my daughters hunting, would give them one and tell they no talking until its done, no chewing either.....

set up a stove in the backyard with a pot big enough to submerge the skull in, try the keep the antlers out of the water as much as you can. Bring the water to a simmer, after a couple hours the meat will come loose, you can pull it with your fingers, pliers, a stiff bristle brush etc. When you have it cleaned to your satisfaction change the water, add a bottle of peroxide and bring to a simmer again to bleach the skull. You can rub mud on the antlers to brown them up where they solution bleached them. Takes a while, I usually have beers while I am boiling heads
