Do you think it would have been the same if a male Mexican Grey Wolf wondered into town?? I don't! If it had been a wolf the people would have been tranquilized and relocated so as not to bother to wolf…. And then the people would have been fined for “harassing” the wolf… -
Looks like the same buck to me

I headed out to check a trail cam this Saturday. Had a good time got some good pics. My camera got in a fight with a bear and unfortunately the bear won round one. He busted the strap holding the cam to the tree and then rolled the camera around the forest floor for awhile. Then he heartlessly left my camera face down in the mud. Not before I was able to snap some pics though. Any guesses as to what pic 5 is of? so i mended the cam and got it ready for round 2

Well the animals are obviously dead…however I am skeptical that it only took 12 shots to get them there… are you sure it was not a type-o and supposed to be 21 shots…. Ha ha just kidding nicely done…

I am headed out this weekend to set up a trail cam. I have picked up some deer cane to put down at the spot. However I have mixed feelings about using it and am not sure the best way to go about doing it if I do decide to use it. It is the dry powder deer cane that you have to mix with water. It is not the deer cane block or the pre made liquid mix. Does anyone out there have any tips for application? For example how many gallons to use per square foot of earth covered? Poor it over a log or stump as the instructions suggest? Or should I put it to a bedding spot, near a watering hole, feeding grounds etc? I am just looking to optimize my opportunities. If anyone out there has any tips they are willing to share I appreciate it. Thanks for your help.

Hey guys thanks for the tips… I will let you know how it goes….

Sorry this may be a dumb question but what is the difference between the ready made liquid deer cane and powder deer cane made liquid? Are they different substances? Or is it a preferred method of application? Sorry if these are dumb questions I am just new to deer cane, trail cams, and the like. Thanks again for your input.

You know I do not have much for advice for horn finding because I do not find very many horns myself but I can offer you my horn huntin good luck poem… AFTER THEY HAVE FALLEN Collectin horns is our mission Brown tines and heavy mass were a wishin Crawlin threw the brush like a bear And puffin that mountain air I will find them on the ground I will find them while they are brown I will find them when they’ve turned white I will find them all with delight I will find them under a tree I will find more than three Maybe four Hopefully more When I find um I will hoot and holler Then pack them out on my buddy’s collar With a day full of luck We will head back to the truck Sorry I know that does not help the bone pile up but maybe it will bring you some good luck….. keep your eyes pealed the antlers are always never where you expect them….
