Some of the old dupont is clumpy. The rest looks like its stayed dry. The guy that gave it to me got it from a storage auction. Been in the unit for 20+ years. I'm assuming the majority of it should be good to load. Ill have to try it strapped to a sled with a long stick. If i drop off some day and don't post again you can guess what happened!

I might need to remove a stump at some time in the future.

Why are they so small?

Finally had enough kids move out to have two spare rooms. Everything is finally in the house. Still a work in progress but all my stuff is finally inside.

I'm looking to upgrade my savage model 16 300WSM. I haven't had much luck finding a wide verity of stocks out there. Almost everything I have seen is for bottom metal, I have a blind mag. I did find a bell and Carlson $400 with bottom metal that claims I can convert from a blind, but I'm not so sure it will work. I don't like the color, but I'm assuming I can just repaint it. Any thoughts if this will work or is worth it? Any other options I should be looking at?

Been a while since I posted this. The VX5 nice but I wanted a little more on it. After this years coues hunt I'm going to look at rebarreling and a break.
