I think someone got him. I've been following that herd for a few days and have not seen him.

The elk got the jump on me this morning. I could never get in front of them. Cows still not giving it up. Bulls shut down around 8. I did get to see my #1 and 2 bulls fighting. That alone has made the trip worth it so far. I know where the are bedded again so hopefully they will follow the same route back out.

Been after this guy for a few days. Finally put him to bed this morning. I sat on him all day and rushed my stalk due to some road hunters hearing his bugles. Hopefully he comes back. Every time he would try to mount a cow they'd run off and he get pissed and charge the other cows and destroy every tree around him. There is still little to no action from 0900 to 1630. Don't know why its upside-down.

Why weren't record temperatures back then called global warming?

Bulls were very active all night and until 7 this morning. Then the road hunters calling every 15 seconds shut em down. Almost got it done last night behind my camp but he wouldn't let me closer then 100 yards.

I just went back to Starbucks from Costco pacific something or other. I need it strong. I bought a hand press, just add hot water and k cup. I wish black rifle was available id love to try it.

Been finally seeing some nice bulls. This morning was awesome. Cows chirping and bulls fighting. I had a decent 6x6 come over to me. I had to scare him off so I could get a shot at the bull that just whooped his but. Got busted by some mule bucks that were hanging out with the elk. 6x6 kept coming back to fight me so we had to pull back.

Not much going on in 1. A few weak bugles in the morning. Passed on a thin 6x6. Probably should have taken him. I looked up the numbers from the helicopter yesterday. Not game and fish. I am definitely reporting it.

They must have been a few different places. I only saw one other person where we were at and he didn't have a tag. Not many people where we are at. I saw one utv pass my camp this morning.

Yup. Orange jumpsuits with doors open. I have video of thier last pass. I've never been more pissed off in my life.

Lots of good action in 1 this morning. Then a helicopter started flying down all the canyons. It saw the elk i was watching and they literally rounded them up and drove them out of the canyon then they flew away. Game and fish aerial survey? Maybe driving them to 27 to lower success rates in 1? I have the numbers from the helicopter. I'm tempted to call it in.

Make them pull the pan and check rod bearings at a minimum

Bulls are definitely bugling in 1. The wind better start cooperating though.

I walk as much as possible and take the stairs. Right knee has a stretched ACL left has tore up meniscus and each hip has 3 bolts in them. I can't handle any impact at all. If I jump down out of my truck wrong I'm laid up for a few days. I'm taking enough pills with me to open a drug store to get through this hunt. Its going to be brutal but worth it.

In the late 90's when fab 12 was being built i worked out there non union. It really rubbed me the wrong way on how bad we were treated by the union guys. Name calling, threats, and just being total a holes. Over the years this has not changed. I travel the lower 48 the Caribbean and Canada for work and its the same everywhere. Work union live better bumper stickers on rusted cars with ladders bungie corded down being driven by dudes that cant afford to eat lunch and look like they haven't showered or changed clothes in a week. The electricians and welders for the most part do not fall in this category, but there always a few exceptions. I know they are not all the same. My buddy in Minnesota runs an electrical business and their shop is union. They have a core group of guy that they keep year round. They will create work for them so they don't lose them to another shop. He said their overall comp package is very good. He does get those guys like i mentioned above and they don't work out there, they send them back to the bench. Maybe a lot depends on how the shop is ran?

i haven't hit weights since my bellybutton turned inside out doing leg curls six years ago. The majority of my time after a 14 hour day is spent in a hotel room. I have a foam roller that i use for squatting my body weight, push ups, crunches, etc. I watch my calorie intake cut back on soda and keep my beer to weekends. I've dropped 18 pounds and it has stayed consistent for a few years now. I do miss the fitness rooms at the hotels because that was my only source of cardio. Next week should be an azz kicker chasing bulls.

My wife wants to wrap her car. Black is hard to keep clean here. Maybe when it cools off in a few months.

My parents are meeting me next week in unit 1. They were a little bitchy since I do t camp in campgrounds. Maybe I'll send em over to reservation lake.

I stopped by bashas last week to try again. Produce literally had mold in the baskets they use to display. Donzo I will never go back. Sprouts is my go to now.
