I have drawn deer almost any time I apply. They are not trophy hunts, but I get to hunt every year. I have drawn 2 early archery bull tags in unit 1 and a late 22N tag in the last 8 years. My wife and oldest son have drawn bull tags and cow tags. They are on a 4 year drought, but it comes with playing the game. If you hold out for trophy tags, absolutely your gonna wait. I go for the experience, memories, and to put meat in the freezer. The system works for me.

I will have one of my boys set up cams. He doesn't hunt, but likes to get out and hike. He can send me pictures and not tell me where they are from. Seems legit to me.

TDS wont tell you hardness. You need a hardness test kit and measure grains per gallon or parts per million.

Knoll was pretty dead when I went a few weeks ago. It was also too windy to fish so that might have had something to do with it. I usually have never had an issue fi ding a good spot there away from people.

I'll give that a try next time I'm in the area.
