Mine has insulation for such instances so I'm good. I tested it a few years ago and it held up without issue. Do you have a furnace? Set it 50ish while not there. It should keep inside from freezing up. Taking jugs and filling it once your there is a safe bet

My first deer I gut shot. Had to recover in the morning. Stunk real bad. I got it home and put it in the fridge for 4 days then processed. No stink, no issues. Tasted great!
