So if I am reading things correctly fire restrictions have been lifted? I just want to double check because I have 4 boys that I need to take out tomorrow to get practicing for this years hunts.

From what I understand these days they are made to fit. That being said I'm sure It would fit someone in need. I would get ahold of wounded warrior and see where it goes. They are a good organization. I am sure there are many more places to contact but that's all I can think of.

I get what all you guys are saying about tough luck. We have all been there myself included. I also remembering wishing I had a little help through it. If we can help him out we ought to whether it be signing a petition or helping out in the field.

Good for you for stepping up. I have four kids and my wife and I work fulltime and it still seems like we never have enough time. Cant imagine with only one parent. Is he a larger kid or a skinny guy? I have a savage axis in 308 that my 16 year old starting shooting when he was 13. Took a little time and some rounds loaded down but he got over all the problems with kids and high powered rifles in no time. Nice light weight and accurate rifle for the price. Start him out on that ar for a while till he gets comfortable and move him up from there. My youngest is a scrawny little runt and im trying to get him sized up with something this year for his first deer hunt also.
