Yeah I noticed that with my deer that the silver skin I didn't get did get stuck in the grinder. I must have got lucky or did a good job cleaning this meat doesn't smell. It actually smells better then my deer I got a few years back.

Yup I thought I was the $ h! T when i got my early bull tag this year till I came home with nothing but memories. Learned a lot and now I know what I need to work on and what to expect next time. I don't think the article was a dig at anyone just that sometimes we can think we have every angle worked out. We kid ourselves thinking we have the upper hand on a hunt when we never really do.

Gained a little back from what i lost elk hunting but lost it again packing my boys pigs out this weekend.

Both my boys tagged out. Ill post it up in a little bit.

Last year we hunted off freeman road on the north side of black mountain. Didn't see any pigs but had a lot of sign. It was cold the weekend we were able to hunt. Supposed to be a little hotter this time around. Should i look for a new area or just stick to my plan on the shady side of the mountain. I was thinking about taking a trip from the south side and work up the washes into the mountain also to try to get these kids a shot at something.

I had a very nice one of those guns made in Belgium. Loved shooting that thing.

I have a 308 and 223 axis. Both good guns. Also have a 243 model 10 and 300wsm modlel 116. All great shooters. Look for a used 243 model 10.
