If they are that upset about it they should return to their country.

Thanks for the info.

No problems with my 2500 yet. I do have less then 500 miles on it tho.
-
I've never had an issue with any of the Rams I've had with the Hemi, as far as reliability and mileage is concerned. Going off road in a stock half ton(not including the Rebel) sucks. The factory tires are a joke and the ground clearance is horrible. The beds are also too small to really carry anything.

Is there an online map that shows where claims are? I'd like to dig around a bit, but I would want to make sure I'm not on someone's land or claim.

Doing some load development over the weekend and had a little too hot of a load. Scared the $h!t out me. Lots of smoke hanging around for a while. I needed a mallet to get the bolt open. After cleaning everything the rifle looks fine. I made a dummy round to check chambering and cycling and everything looks ok. Is there anything else I should look for, or just eliminate that load and try again?

Average velocity with 43.5 was 2800. Barrel length is 22". Rifle is a Ruger American. Shell picture below. Primers felt good going in. I've never had an issue with them before. I am using CCI #200 large rifle primers. I use Norma and Lapua for my magnum rifles, and Hornady for standards. I've never had an issue until now. I have tried H4350, V100, and superformance with Berger VLD 130's Hornady SST 140's, and the 143 ELDX. I had great results with 40.5 grains of V100 with the SST. Average speed is 2605. Highest was 2614, lowest 2598. Below is a 5 shot group at 100 yards of my bipod in the wind. I should just be happy with these results, but I like to play.

Thanks for the info guys. I worked up to this load, as mentioned before I did not have pressure signs prior to this load. I can't remember off the top of my head but I'm a few thousands off the lands. I agree starting out this high would be stupid at best. This isn't being built for long range big game. I'm aware of the rounds limitations. This is for my wife to hunt javi's and not have to lug around her 7mm.

6.5 creedmoor Hornady case, Hornady 143gn eldx with 44 grains of v100. 43.5 grains showed no pressure signs averaging 2850fps. The primer fell out when I got the bolt open.

Just ride it out. Good tags are worth waiting for.
-
Anyone ever tried one of these? I didn't read too far into it, but I think it said no wait time. https://www.brownells.com/firearms/blackpowder/muzzleloader/maxim50-integrally-suppressed-muzzleloader-prod110309.aspx

Guess I got the deer draw to look forward to.

Just cuz they stink it doesn't mean they don't get eaten.

I've given up. I'll check Monday.

Some nice mulies are taken around power lines....

Where I hunt them the area smells like them. So yes, they stink.

Well, another year without drawing an elk tag. I started looking at other states today and it seems like a pain in the @$$ navigating the sites. Anyone else notice this, or am I just being difficult because our websites seem easy.

NM is what gave me a headache

When will the hits start? no thread on this yet?

YES!! I did not draw a needed some good entertainment. Beer and popcorn ready! -
like stated above, don't need camo on a rifle hunt. Spend your money on boots and a decent pack(I have an eberlestock dragonfly for sale by the way). get a tripod and a decent range finder and go kill your first elk.
