Ok this sounds crazy but for itch relief from chiggers the best relief I've found is bath as hot as you can stand wash legs with soap. Get out dry off and rub your legs down with listerine

Anybody here ever used the Gunclaw???
oz31p replied to Stallone A.'s topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I was in the same boat. The areas I hunt are very steep so I would almost never be able to shoot of a bipod or a pack. I own the gun claw. I have not taken any game with it but I have been shooting off it at every time I go out to practice. Its worlds better than shooting sticks along, but if you use the sticks under the buttstock and the claw its rock solid. I head is a 128rc mannfotto and the tripod is a vortex timber line. I also hunt out of a backpack. -
its I540IR its about the cheapest ir you can buy but ive been very happy with them so far. after the bears moved the camera the view looks like this.

Sure we can relax till the next time. Or the next big bill they force through with some back door anti gun/ammo ammendment. Are my fears unfounded ,perhaps. But these are the people that took over the student loan industry with a heath care bill.

Goods looking cwts. But finding cwt in the flats....I wish you the best of luck.

Its not that they want us to move to nonlead bullets they want us to move toward no bullets. 270 I don't think a good slug would do the trick, but mabey we could test out some lead bullets?

What good is a firearm with out ammo. This is the same way liberals do every thing......one piece at a time.

I have found the cheapest most accurate ammo can be found in my garage.

I wa thinking the same thing. In years past I have hunted turkey in that area. Normal evey mud puddle and tank had tracks. I was camping last weekend I checked for track every where. I seen none. After a while of casual looking I made it a mission to find some and still nothing. Although last sat morning at before sun up I started a coyote pup distress call and I heard some wing beats.

with practice you should be able to go way farther than that. i shoot a simular set up. i have practiced out to 600 so far but i plan on going farther.(300wm mk4 4.5-14x40 lrt) the two scopes are almost the same. depending on the age of you scope the adjustment knobs should be resettable. if they are sight it in to 100y. find a good ballistic calculator, and check the calculators results you to 4 5 6 7 800y. your set up is capable.

it looks good. i painted mine a while back. i like it it just takes time. but it you do it right i lasts a while. i used krylon ultra flat 3 color camo then a satin clear coat. its a savage 10 243win and i shoot a 75g vmax. this rifle has always been my experimental gunsmith rifle. i leaned out to lighten/tune a trigger, glass bed and free float. i also stiffend the front of the stock caus it was so flimsy. ernesto: if you need an extra wall to hang that elk id gladly lend a hand.
