due to the timing i do both. i still have an otc tag from jan2011 i also already put in for a few rifle hunts. the rifle results will come out close to when the aug season starts. ill be sitting a water source this aug perhaps with a oct tag in my front pocket and a rifle tag in my back pocket. in that case if i harvest a deer with my bow its win win. i get a deer with a bow and i get to donate my tag.

Not really. The area I've been grooming is a great rifle area. But I'm trying to set up to achery hunt it. 3week aago I had bucks coming in but there is nothing high enough to hang a camera on that is sturdy and keep it out of reach of the cow. So I basicly had a cow malufnction. A few days of pics the the camera got moved. I did build a awsome ground blind. I have a few more areas to check out that may be a little more condusive to archery hunting. That palamated buck I posted a few weeks ago was coming in.

here is a bird i took from the bear wallow wilderness in 2009. we went 3 for 3 that trip. i really feel for all affected by this fire.

I fear your right. I've yet to here from any other source that the fire has jumped 191 and is moving into the blue. If thats the case we are in truoble.

It normaly only take one buck in the wild even if you watch him run over a hill by time he clears the sky line your hooked. Where did you hunt last year??

This post talk about every area in the unit where coues deer live and the type of terrain the live. It also talks about preseason scouting. I think you will find the forum very friendly and informitive. Very rarly on any forum would a few time poster asking for help be replyed with directions or gps corrordnates. No one know if you have any experiance hunting or deer hunting or coues deer hunting. As with any unit with coues hunts there are coues in 21 in "typical" coues terrain. Most succsesfull hunters in 21 scout a lot and kike far while scouting aswell as during the hunt.

i think hes young enough he could lean what ever you teach him. the best shot i know shots a pistol left a shot gun an rifle right bats eats writes left. all of witch he does very well. unless your training him to be a boxer or a pitcher id teach him to be a righty....just sets him up for an easier life.
