Congresswoman Giffords shot
oz31p replied to Kilimanjaro's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
This is terrible. I think giffords has now came out of surger but still in crittical condition. This news is already calling it an act of the tea party, sarha palin and glen beck. I disagree with rep giffords but I would never want to see anyone get shot. I hope her and all the injured pull through. -
I thought they sayed 202/santan and eliotbut I had just turn on the radio. I can't find anything on the internet about it.
-
I heard on the radio this morning that a deer was hit by a car on the 202 this morning but I can't find any other info. Did anyone else here about it??

Take/Hunt From A Vehicle (A.R.S. 17-301 B, R12-4-319) Pages 104 and 121 No person may take wildlife from a motor vehicle (including watercraft and aircraft), except as permitted by Commission Order, and under the provisions of the Challenged Hunter Access Mobility Permit Commission Rule (R12-4-217). “Take,” as defined by law, includes pursuing, shooting, hunting and killing wildlife. You are unlawfully using a vehicle to take wildlife if you intentionally drive around until you see the animal you wish to harvest and then make an attempt to take. “Road hunting” is illegal; so is pursuing wildlife with a vehicle, chasing or heading off moving wildlife with a vehicle, and driving offroad to get closer to wildlife. You do not have to shoot from the vehicle to be in violation.

Nice pics. Did you set the cam up at the zoo?? Was that a male and 3 ladys??

I sat in mine for a few hours today. I was good and bundled up and I was pretty warm. I left the mesh down just in case. When I left the truck it was 19 but I climbed 2k in elevation on the quad to the blind site. When the sun hit the side it radiated quite well. I keeped taking my gloved off and holding my hands on the wall to warm them.

This one is going to get set up on Sunday where I know there's at least a few inches. But it will get left there. The roof is rounded so in hoping any more snow will just roll off.

My Predator hunt and a question for all
oz31p replied to Ernesto C's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
Your right 5. No I didn't shoot any. This is right in town. I have been told by G&F we have coyotes in downtown Phoenix. yes a few years ago my wife worked at the phx art museum on night shift she watched them all the time on the security cameras. i think when your knocking them down like that we should be asking you the questions. -
i appreciate the offer but i got a new blind with some christmas gift cards that i got. i took a few shots earlyer this evening with the windows down. its a little different in close quarters at full draw. but doable. i may have to just go back out there and shot through the windows and see for my self.
-
Yes sir mesh windows. Id imagine a 270 would not have any problems. But what about a bow or better yet a bow with mechanical broadheads(2blade inverters)??
-
Mabey they should include better directions. I got a new ground blind.
-
Its still worth making sure.
-
That should make for a good camp fire story.

It took me a few year of not finding javelina too before learning areas to expect them in and areas to pass. I'm no help I'm your unit sorry.
-
I like the west side. There are deer and javelina in most of the unit. I would steer clear of recreation areas as the wild life don't normaly hang out near places with a lot of human activity. Don't worry too much about water. 21 has a ton of perential springs. Most are not very big but they are constant. In some areas every caynon has a spring. The areas I frequent it seems like I find a new spring every time I go for a hike. The deer/javelina can be spreed out at times in some areas you'll hike for a few mile and not see any sign. Then find an area where its tramppled. You only need to find one area with a herd of javelina and chnaces are they will be in the area come season. If road hunter bother you make sure you hike into an area where no roads can be seen. They are getting pretty bad in 21. Have you looked at g&f recomended areas?? They normaly point you in the right direction. But they tell the world about them. So try to get to areas most people won't. There no way I would waist this tag or any tag for that matter.
