In the fresh snow we put down 3 cows in 24the hrs in 7w. Just find fresh tracks and follow them. That was my first time in 7w. I've never been to 7e so that's about all the help I can give.

Went to a spot very close to town that we used to hunt 10years ago before it was annexed. Quail-palousa. We hit 10 coveys and no covey has less that 30 birds. I was shooting poorly with a new gun but still managed 13.

I just got the word that I will be hunting the January bow season in new Mexico this year. Im very exited. This will be my first out of state hunt I have been to the ranch I'll be hunting a few year ago. That place has the most and biggest mule deer I've ever seen in my life. Should be a great spot and stalk DIY hunt.
