Tj its a spring I dammed it up amd dug it out alittle ...I set that camera on june 18th at 1pm ..that day at 6pm a doe came in at 7pm that lion came in. I'm exited. I've only hunted from a blind a few times while on the fly but I've never had any thing come in. I've also never taken an animal with a bow so I may have trouble passing on any legal buck. I'm hoping its still early enought that the spikes and button buck are just late bloomers. Aside from the buck I posted nothing had over 2 inches of antlers.

Even if your broadheads fly like field points.....you still need to used the correct pin Its dull now but still has good edges, plus their super easy to sharpen.

I took a j 105 on last years deer hunt. Its a greast pack but I cat get it adjusted correctly for me. So mid hunt I switched to a cabelas alascan guild frame pack with a 1800cc cabelas day pack straped on. As for my rifle I use a eberlystock scabard straped on aswell. It super comfy and it very modular so when I do need to strap a deer on I can reconfigue it on the fly.

Boil a pot of water with a liberal dose of old bay seasoning. Drop the live crawdads in and boil for a few minutes. Peel and eat - dip in garlic butter if you like. You can get fancy and boil potatoes, corn, sausage, all in the same water. Yum. dont try this method................................................with out inviting me!!!!

i use cameras. no locks no boxes. theres theives out every year with cordless grinders. thats all it take to cut open most any box or treestand cable. every time i leave a camera in the wilderness i consider it gone, and im surprised when i return that is still there. ive only had picture of people twice. but i never rehang camera in a spot that ive taken picture of other humans. at the time of this writeing i have 2 cameras out. ive only came across 1 camera in all my travels. and that was at a spot where a quad trail dead ended pointing at a small medal cow tank. it was barely off the road. i could have ran it over with my quad it was so close to the road.

me too. do you by chance have a white dodge??

1st water. but if there are cows around they seem to hit the corn first. but a mineral lick(not a salt block)(fake or natural) seems to attract more deer than cows. essentially near a water source.

Which Zeiss are you looking at? I have the Conquest 4.5-14x50mm with the tactical turrets. It is a great scope for the money ... I think I paid only about $700 for it at the time a few years back. Has the mil-dot reticle (#43). When I bought it, Alex at EuroOptics recommended that I go with the Conquest over the Diavari, even though I had the money to do the other. He said for the difference, the Conquest was better bang for the buck. I'd buy another one if I had the opportunity to get it at the same price. Most of the time I've seen them higher though. I'd check out those FFP Viper Scopes from Vortex. They have some pretty nice features, and an FFP scope for under a grand is supposedly a pretty good price. If the glass is crisp, I'd sure think about it, but I'd want to look through the glass first and see that the FFP didn't screw me up too much. If you really think you want the Zeiss, but want to try one first, I have no problem pulling mine from my .300 Ultra and letting you give it a whirl ... just don't break it ... I know where you work ... It's nothing to me but a little time putting it back on and re-sighting ... gives me an excuse to hit the range. Either that, or you can just shoot my rifle ... it isn't a .30-378, but it isn't leaps and bounds behind it either. Sound advise as usual and Vortex is relaly making a name for themselves with their pricing being fair and their product being quality stuff! It will either be Vortex or Zeiss I am thinking at this point and thank you for the offer of your scope but not necessary! Kirk Check out the leupold mark iv lrt they are sweet glass, awsome warranty , and the turrets are great......my buddy has a couple of them, and comparing them to the zeiss 4.5x14x50 i had on my 30-378 i would go with the mark iv myself............ I have a leupold mk4 lr/t 4.5-14x40 on my 300wm. if I remember there are 80moa adjustments so there are plenty elevation to reach any distance. I like the paralax adjust on the side and the m1 turets. The best prices on scopes I've seen for most brands is brunos shooting supplys. Espetialy on leupold.
