I use a horn hunter main beam. It fits your criteria. I use it as a day pack during scouting. but during hunting season I strap it to a cabelas Alaskan frame with an eberlystock scabbard.

Under 300? Burris full view 2. With the bdc redicl. It will do every thing you need out to 500y. -
It is a Quadzilla Adrenaline, It was on there when I bought the truck. The funny part is I very very rarely turn it up past the max mileage setting, and when I do it is usually when I have a short passing lane coming up, up hill, to get around a semi or a truck/trailer. it seams like every dodge tranny failure I've seen has been tunned. I'm sure stock dodges loose tranny too but ive never Seen one. Its too bad too cause a 5.9 is a hard engine to beat otherwise.

i do have one complaint wiht my truck my johnny cash cd is stuck in it.

I would refer you to 90 percent of the commercial fleet in this country better driven like they were stolen but properly maintained and kept stockand regularly roll 300000. I have no brand loyalty when I bought my truck I was looking for a Ford or a Dodge they both make good products although I will never own another General Motors product so long as I shall live. I don't have a photo handy of broken transmission parts and ATF all over the road but since you drive a Dodge I assume you already know what that looks like

i deleted my original post as quicky as i wrote it because i sometimes forget no one cares what i think. lol i dont mean to be a buzz kill but its true. so many people have light duty diesel trucks(3/4/1tons) that tune them way past the point of reliability. then complain that "brand x" is junk. when in reality if you can live with out " making black smoke" youll have a lone worry free life vehicle wise. i dont mean to call you out but as an example: casey in your dodge what brand is your tunner?? i cant find the connection between a reliable diesel, dressing in drag or driving a prius? must be a uofa thing at the end of the day feel free to do what ever makes you happy to your truck. but remember after the tow truck drops your truck off at my place. ill hand you the repair bill with a smile on my face.

Get out there and scout. There are probably more coues bucks in a left over unit that mule deer bucks in in 20c or 42. Ifbyou can scout and glass I think you'll find it Easyer to kill a coues Buck than a mule deer buck.

I've never had a problem with the way others use their tags. Assuming they are with in the law. As for me I have a long standing tradition of shooting the first legal animal I come across. I plan to stray from the norm this fall as I have my first bull tag. I don't want to take a immature bull. I'd rather kill a mature bull regardless of antler size. But I'll take what I can get with a smile on my face. Even if I come home empty handed.

Ar500 is the best. I tryed several other type of steel and put clean hole thru at 300. I when to cutting edge supply in phx and they gave me a piece of ar 500. Thye even offered to cut into a circle for me. Its 10in ive shot it at 100yards for kicks with my 300 wm and it only scratches the paint.

i hunted nm unit 21. i was on a private cattle ranch so i cant speak much for public land. that said, i was blown away at the numbers of deer. and the quality of bucks, one thing that took me by surprize is finding buck up high. i mostly hunt coues in arizona. i have hunted mule deer in arizona. i have always found mule deer bucks down low in arizona. so i was expecting things to be the same in new mexico. these deer were up high on the upper 1/3 of every hill we found deer on.

I built mine abouts 1.5 years ago. My intention was to build the cheapest and lightest weight. I. Mine would be considered an m4. W/16 in non chromed barrel. I did a flat top and put an eotech 5.12. Its been great. Recenyly i have veen s to ing with the irdea of selling my eotech and but a low power traditional scope. The eotech has been great. It has a 1moa dot. I have found it perftect foe under 200yshots i think it would work farther oyt but i have not had any opportunity pass 200. So far ive onlt missed follow up shots on wounded coyotes. Im not braging about my "skills" more attesting to the fact the an ar 15/m4 suits itself quite well.

Good luck. And thank you for interducing new hunters to the sport. If you find the answer to your question you're doing better than most of us. Lol
