I understand. What keeps me from any thing unique is that ever few months something whips the media in to a frenzy anti firearms talk. Causing component shortages. Usually the oddball stuff is the first to sell out.

I got tired of dragging a heavy rifle around so after doing a ton of research I when with a t/c pro hunter. It's not pretty, it's not flashy or custom. But It shoots moa out to 1000 yards. And fully outfitted fully loaded it's under 7lbs.

I have a late archery bull hunt in a different unit. I will spotting and stalking.

I Scout a lot throughout the year sometimes Are other hunt going on. most of my scouting is done glassing the areas I intend to hunt anyway I've never interrupted anybody's hUnt on the occasion I am scouting and see other hunters and I find the game they are looking for I would always let them know

Public access is pretty limited. There are a few places but they get crowded. Plenty of deer though. If your coming from nm there are better units with better access. Imo
