really? mine get dusty or some times water spots on them often when i have them out Yes really. If you try to clean them In the field your liking just grinding dust and dirt into the lens. Unless it's strait mud alittle dust and dirt does not affect there perfomance. I also keep them covered when they are not in use. I can't imagine what your doing to get mud on the lens of a set of optics. Who takes $1000's of optics into the field with out lens some type of lens covers? Water spot also don't affect their perfomance either. If mine get dirty in the field and their perfomance is not affected why risk scratching them till I can properly flush them at home.

I very seldom clean mine, almost never in the field. An ounce of prevention....... It take a ton of crap to affect them. At home I have a camera cleaning kit with fluid spray and lint free lens paper.

Don't shoot at alerted animals. If a deer is staring at you there a good chance it's gonna jump on your shot

I have 12x50el around my neck and then glass with them off a tripod for every thing I hunt. If you cant judge an animal with a good set of 12s your too far to do any thing about it any way.

We bow fished and striper fished. My buddy has never bow fished so we started as dusk. I killed the first fcarp we saw on the first shot of the night. Then he missed for a few hours . We fished for about 4 hours caught one nice sized striper on a night crawler. Had plenty of minnows and very few shad. We tryed 3 diferant spots . Then we went back to bow fishing. I bet by buddy has a soar arm this morning but he never did hit on. Lol

I backpack hunt here in Arizona. 90% of my water comes from cow tanks. I have a msr pump but lately I've been using my homemade gravity filter. It takes alittle longer but it's effortless. Me and a buddy just did 4day in April bear hunt and all we used was the gravity filter.

I lost a battery about a year ago. So I extended the frame out to support a battery box and a real battery. I ran new battery cables and installed a group 31 825cca Catapillar battery .
