J, Slick Billy only ran for Governor so he could run for Pres. He has done fair to middlin, but for the last 5 months the LT . governor has essentially been running things. Wait and see when the stats come out how many non residents bought the raffle tickets and I will bet that more non residents bought raffle tickets than the Azites did. If you want more of a chance buy more friggin tickets!! easy as that. You could try to limit the non residents buying raffle tickets but I imagine it would be a logistical nightmare, how in the world do you know how much 10% is for instance, when you can buy the tickets up until the last minute, if there are more non residents than the cap because not as many residents put in do you refund some of the non res tickets and if so whose do you refund? Why dont you just let it work the way it is supposed to and be glad that enough people are willing to buy the tickets in Az to hunt and help support YOUR GAME ANIMALS!! Thanks for all the info so far, So it looks like regardless of the tripod, I will get the Jim White head and panning attachment, now I just have to decide which tripod to get. Need something light weight and that I can get my fat legs through so I can sit and glass and so far all the tripods seem to fit that bill. Decisions, decisions!! ag

I read on the internet that our fearless leader(whom I voted for ) is trying to push through his immigration bill with his political clout!? Clout!? He has no clout left, he has been a lame duck for 3 years and is an embarrassment to the US. I put my money where my mouth was and contacted all of my state senators and representatives and let them know that I would not be voting for anyone who voted for his immigration bill as well as stated my objections to the immigration reforms. I am letting you know all this so that if the black choppers come get me you will all know what happened!! Seriously, I am deeply ashamed that I voted for W(ussy). THis last term has been terrible and not only has he managed to lose support for himself, the GOP has little to no chance to have a President elected from their party. He has been the democrats dream as he has singlehandedly insured that the next pres will be a democrat(and probably a shemale named Billary). What scares me is we will have a democrat president and a democratic senate. Say hello to gun control regardless of the shaky agreement the NRA and the democrats have now that they actually worked together on a background check bill. I bought a 300 wsm 2 years ago, bought a 257 weatherby mag last year and it instantly became my favorite caliber after my initial range session. Light kick, tack driver and I killed a coues at 470 yards last year and my buddy killed one with it at 400, all were instant kills, so was the antelope I killed in WY at 270. Sure it is expensive to shoot if you dont reload, but , you can always start!! I have the leupold b and c reticle 4-14 and the combo so far has been deadly, I would highly recommend it and you can get the vanguard relatively cheaply, just remember a 700 dollar rifle with a 100 dollar scope is a 100 dollar gun, make sure you can top whatever you buy with good optics!! good luck AG

j-- I used to hunt 27 for whitetail with my inlaws, the quantity has definitely decreased and the quality is slowly following suit. You may find a bruiser in the Blue wilderness but it is overhunted and overwolfed in there. Friends I have in Eagar dont even put in for 27 anymore and quite a few of them grew up hunting it. I killed a little dink in there 2pt with eyeguards and it was the biggest thing I saw other than a lion kill. There is better units for whitetail in AZ. AG

Well I got drawn for 23 1st Nov hunt for whitetail, my kids also got drawn for that hunt, so that will be fun, everything else was unsuccessful Oh well I imagine I will archery hunt in AZ and still have the deer draw for AZ as well. Have a buddy in Or. that is a game warden and he wants me to come up and raft the Rogue river and hunt blacktail and fish for steelhead and salmon(better than a stick in the eye and the tags are over the counter!) So I may do that as well. good luck to everyone!!! ag
