What pissed her off to go into a camp ground? Didn't sound like the bear was provoked to me. -
That looks like the area around Ft Huachuca!

Is it better to mail in or go to the office?

When do you recommend mailing them?

Nice to see the game and fish on top of things. Thanks for the hard work. That sure looked like a CWD case to me! I am glad to see it is not. When I was stationed in Colorado I was going to go on one of their CWD hunts in the north but thought twice when I saw a video on the diease. Awful stuff.

question on how to best preserve meat in the field
slopoke36 replied to JLW's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Last year my dad and uncle each shot a bull elk on Mt. Taylor, NM in the early part of OCT. They waited to skin and quarter the first bull and lost about 30 percent of the meat! They were mad at each other because they know better and thought they could get by till morning. The problem was it didn’t cool off enough that night and well the rest is history. The second bull they skinned and quarter on the spot and got everything. My advice is to skin and quarter as fast as possible. You have to cool the meat right away. I know I learned something from them and what not to do. -

I paid like 20 bucks for 4 1:100,000 topo's at the Forest service office. Cheap and they last a while.

To the right of the main gate of Ft Huachuca as you are leaving post. Next to Jim's glass.

Keep us posted, I want to know how this turns out.

I wish I had that problem.

Do we use the regular application for the left over tags? Also, if we get a deer tag for rifle can I still go during the archery season (I understand that I can get only one deer per year). I just want to know if I can go during both season's until I get one.

How hard is it to get into the west of Huachuca's from Canelo?
-
I went scouting the Canelo Hills this weekend and didn't see much. I was wondering if anyone had any information about that area (east side of 35B)?

Can someone please confirm for me the proper way to nock an arrow in a Whisker biscuit? I have heard that the vein fletching needs to be in the 12 0'clock position as you hold the bow vertical (or shooting position) and I have heard that the vein needs to be in the 9 o'clock position as you hold the bow vertical (or shooting position) and the package says just make sure none of the fletching pass through the black portion of the whisker biscuit. At this point in my bowhunting career I don’t feel comfortable about using a drop away rest, just yet. .

The funny thing is I sighted in my bow and then thought about the fletching issue after words and was worried about it all day. But you guys cleared that issue up and needless to say I was good to go. None of the fletchings are passing through the danger zones.
