A few years ago a thief brike my daughter's truck window and used her garage door opener to steal a bunch of tools and things from my garage. Figured out it was around 2am. Did it a second time and took a few things. Third time my wife heard a motor and woke me up. Took a sawed off 12 gage in my undies to check things out. Racked a shell and a guy jumped up and ran like a rabbit, jumped on a quad and took off. I got in my truck and lucked out and saw him coming at me with no lights. I hit the quad with my truck and the guy bounced off a block wall and went into a school yard and got away. Cop said he would follow the brown trail and find the guy. Never happened again after that. Good luck with your insurance and hope the dopers get caught or killed.

I would drive every forest road for miles around there. If they took food they are likely hiding in the woods. Might be able to spot the quad hidden in the bushes off the road. Probably out stealing a trailer to get it out. Sorry for your loss but I bet you someone has had an eye on the place for a while and have the quad in the woods and waiting for things to cool down. I hate thieves.

Coach-go to www.westernbass.com and look in the classified section for a 2001 Champion 190SX. It has low hours and a 200 Merc Optimax engine. That is the best hull ever made and the boat looks brand new. He is asking $12000 but you can probably talk him down. Fish & Ski models don't bring the used prices a bass boat will but the hulls are very good. I owned a Champion 206 bass boat and it was the best I ever owned. Good luck.

I voted yes but know plenty of fishermen and hunters who voted no. They thought it was a bill that would allow the legislature to raid the G&F heritage fund, allow landowners to lobby for private tags and basically figured that a no would do no harm. I voted yes because of the groups that were against it. I figured if they lost the ability to use the ballot initiative it was a good vote for me and mine. Next round we need to make sure the language is clearer on what it will not allow the legislature to do IMO. My bet is lion hunting will be on the ballot next election.

You are a lucky man! I tore the tendon off my right throwing a chain in my pickup. Thought I dislocated my shoulder so I jammed it into the side of my truck like in the movies. Not a smart thing to do. I had it reattached and the joint scraped. A year later I fell on a boat ramp and tore the tendon off the other shoulder and had to do it again. I agree that it is about the worst pain in the world after surgery. Strong as a 60 year old bull now.

I was hunting the WM elk hunt a couple of years ago and had two wolves walk close to where I was set up. One was normal color and the other was almost black so I do believe what you are saying. I talked to the Apache G&F guy and he was not surprised that they were there. Didn't look anything like any coyote I ever saw. Neither one had a collar so I also wonder if they even know how many are surviving.

The bill is already successful. It has kicked the discussion up nationally and politicians know they must address border security as well as illegal immigration. If we can get the control of the house in november we should see true border enforcement as in fence, national guard and if we are lucky a clarification of the 14th amendment regarding anchor babies. The people of America are fed up with the political pandering to the open borders crowd and this bill has brought that into focus. I also talked to a few hispanics in my industrial park and they tell me illegals are moving to California, NM and back home to Mexico from AZ so it is definitely working.
-
Jaime-I know many illegals here in my business park that are earning over $20 per hour. They live together in homes to save money and send much of it back to Mexico. Those are great jobs Americans want and need and the money needs to be spent here right now to help our economy. Fact is if we cracked down on hiring illegals our unemployment rate would go down tomorrow. I am sympathetic to immigration and supportive of allowing as many immigrants in as we need to do those jobs Americans don't want but not to stay and take jobs Americans need right now. I am not willing to sacrifice my grandson's future to help out the neighbors. They are sucking the education, health and welfare systems dry.

Too bad he didn't kill a couple of them. It is going to take a few of their bodies to make a point to our government. It ticks me off that our government would try to keep a military incursion into our country a secret for political reasons.

We fished Apache saturday morning. Don't know what tourney was there but saw the bands on the motors. We fished for 2 hours before the TM bracket broke. Two of us had 7 fish and I lost a good one at the boat. All on blades. Fixed the TM and fished Roosey for a few hours before dark and caught another 10 or so. Roosevelt was jammed with boats saturday as well. The Tonto Basin Inn was packed saturday night so it must have been the Big Bass Days crowd.

I fished saturday and three of us got 38 bass with four overs using T-rig worms. Fish are getting shallow and the bite was hot for the first four hours in the morning then slowed down. We were on Roosey.

Fortunate enough to draw a tag again this year. Unit 1 and I have been lucky enough to call my bird in opening morning the last couple of years. I am thinking I was lucky to get the second hunt this year with the snowfall we have had. Calls are all laid out and the guns are choked up and ready to go. Fun stuff.

killed by a stinkin' "illegal" alien

I am so sorry for the family and I am disgusted by our government on both sides of the aisle. There was a reason our founders insisted that we have a well armed militia and I am real close to hoping one gets formed for some stealth action along our state's southern border. Our politicians are not going to help. They will legalize 15-20 million new voters soon. I am getting old and can tell you that I am glad I don't have too much longer to watch this crap happen but I am saddened for my grandson. God speed to Rob. -
A Wee Little Change in Our Country

Companies are already publishing garbage about cutting out helathcare or firing employees to pay for it. They don't really understand the impact so it is just another excuse to dump more people or to shed the liability of health insurance. IMO people are going to be shocked when they get dumped into the government pool and it is going to be a lot more than Obama said. You can keep your existing health insurance if you can pay for it yourself. Can't wait for november and hope they don't pass cap & trade or immigration reform before then but bet they will. -
Good to know and thanks. I have just been paranoid since the last mess when we were all showing up at the meetings with our pitchforks. I do see that having sportsmen with input during a liberal administration would be helpful. I really hate to read the stuff on Utah and just gave up going to a certain forum for that reason. Keep up the good work.

I came here due to a link from another member. I have hunted in the state for the last 42 years and I can't support any legislation that allows even the remote possibility of landowner private big game tags. I read all the garbage about Utah and have hunted plenty of times in NM and I just think we will be in trouble if we allow a board comprised of SFW and ranchers to dictate the politics of our Game and Fish department. I am not afraid of a bunch of hairy legged hippy women controlling G&F. We have controlled them so far. I care more about my grandson having the ability to hunt at a fair cost when he grows up. I don't belong to any of your groups but I used to in past years. I just have volunteered to work on projects through G&F so I am not much of a joiner. Anyway if you can tell me why this type of law is needed and why it won't insure we will go down the private tag road again like the USO mess I will listen with an open mind. Thanks.
