We caught 18 saturday in 4 hours at Apache. One 4 pound smallie was jet black. Our fish came from shallow water near deep water and all on T rig.

Mulholland was a great guy. Ron like all the other parasites lived off the host until he was dried up.

I think they do. I got tired of paying 100% of the tax bill so after 8 years told Ron he could pay them. He said no problem and ended up buying 3 of the 5 parcels out of tax lien under his company "MY Lake Inc." then his lawyer threatened to sue me so I told them in spite of having every document showing Davis stealing from the partnership they could have my half for a liability release. Best thing I ever did and he sold it to Ewing a few weeks later.

I owned the airport lake for about 14 years. Terry Mulholland and Ron Davis owned 50% and I owned 50%. I got so tired of poachers, netters and thieving partners that I gave up my half. I caught an 11.4 out of there and it is in my office. We had a ball fishing it for a lot of years. Ewing Irrigation owns it now. It is full of bass, huge talapia, 4 pound bluegill and we planted channel cats. FYI.

Unit one had birds and I was within 75 yards twice and had the gobbler talking back to me. Figured it was like the early hunt and he was dead meat. NOT. The hens were going crazy and the big boys just would not leave them to come down to me.

I had some dork in 5bs using one during my bull elk archery hunt a few years ago. Had the thing turned all the way up with the same bugle blasing away for an hour. I sat in an oak thicket and watched the elk run away from his position. I think turkeys need more finesse in the calling to get them close. Let us know how it works and good luck.

Whether you are for Bundy or against him the look in the eyes of progressives is very telling. Alinsky told them how to infiltrate and take control of government but they didn't read the part about taking away all guns. The Bundy showdown instilled doubt in the eyes of Robert Reich and Rachel maddow. They are just not sure now that all the ammo, swat vehicles and armor can force compliance from the masses. An armed society is a free society and they now know people are willing to give it a good fight if they feel the government is out of control.

It really doesn't matter because whatever happens the government will make the Bundy's out to be thieves, murderers and child molesters and it was all their fault that they are dead. Nothing to see here just move along. Wonder why CNN has avoided this entire debacle?

I don't like the women on the front line but the feds didn't mind roasting a house full of kids at Waco so I doubt they would stop for women and kids in this fight.

The local sherrif is claiming he has inside info from BLM that they are planning to raid Bundy's ranch and his kid's homes. This will end up with a stack of dead people and some splainin' to do.

I decided to test the server theory. They are allowed 3 attempts here in Scottsdale and they can't serve you after 8pm. First one knocked on the door and left after a minute. Second one rang and knocked for 5 minutes then left. Final one came after 9pm and pounded on the door and rang the door bell for over 10 minutes until I racked a shell in the Remington right next to the door and he couldn't run fast enough. No ticket and no fine.

I have all the goodies for a good fight but I will be using only one gun and that is a sniper rifle. My uncle spent almost a year in the Pacific all alone on an Island full of Japs and he did OK with one. It pays to be a sneaky old bowhunter. :-{)

I have fished Alaska 28 times and the Kenai was fun for the first few trips in the early 80's. Too many people and they can shut the river down at any time so you can lose your money. We fish fly-in areas like the Togiak or the Nushagak and have done quite a few trips to Sitka. Sitka is good for halibut, kings, silvers and lings so I like the trips there.

Ride around and stop to make a hen call and listen just after dark. The gobblers will answer and you can figure out their roost tree. Head up the next morning in the dark and stop a few hundred yards away and sit down in some bushes. At first light scratch out a few calls and listen. Have your gun on your knee and be ready to shoot. I use a box call and a diaphram call. Fun hunt.

Someone stole my early tag for unit 1 turkey so leave me one for the late hunt.

Echo is good but my Stihl saws have always started and ran great and you can beat the crap out of them. I had a 660 and that saw is for Paul Bunyan. It flat wore an old man out holding it up to cut side cuts.
